Mayflower Restaurant

The food was good overall. The decor seemed dated, but perhaps that is part of the overall vibe. As a customer in a modern restaurant, I expect to have the option to pay by debit or credit card; if not, I'd like to know that VERY clearly upfront Unfortunately, I didn't find that out until after my meal. I was then told there was an ATM down the street I could use. So I ended up a quarter block from the people I ate with, standing in the cold, being charged $4.00 extra to get the cash to pay for my meal. I hope this will help someone enjoy their experience more than I did.

We literally stumbled into this restaurant while walking down the street …it was sooo cold outside and we were looking for a warm place to eat while waiting for our granddaughter at State Honor Chorus on the UGA campus. The setting is outdated but the food is delicious..best pancakes I’ve ever had and fluffy eggs. The coffee was so good too. We were greeted with kindness and enjoyed our meal very much…I highly recommend this mom and pop restaurant!! Just be sure and have CASH!! No credit/debit accepted. Fortunately we did. 😊
