Very cool pub. Just reopened. Nice decor and lots of options at a fair price. Also has food.

Really disappointing. Went here for the good reviews. I’m not a picky person but the service was iffy. Had four different people wait out table and was ignore by all of them while we were asking for our check to leave after waiting. The food was cold. I ordered fish and chips, got one piece of fish that was okay sized and maybe ten fries. Tasted fine. Great beer list and good atmosphere. Just over priced and underwhelming on the food and service side of things.

Brilliant! The Globe is a classic fixture in Athens. They have updated the interior without removing any of the grace of my old stomping ground. Absolutely one of the best in town. The servers, bartenders and the beverage selection, not to be missed. And kudos on the new facilities!!

Thankfully The Globe has finally reopened. Yes, a few soft opening glitches - mostly due to the overwhelming response - but they seem to be getting everything together. The food has been very good, the drinks great. I'd love to see an expanded menu in the future.

A typical pub atmosphere and service. Good hand cut chips, fries and array of sauces. With a decent mix of cocktails and local beer brews. If you find yourself here and don’t order the Rueben then you’ve made a mistake. I won’t get a Rueben from anywhere else in town ever again.

An Athens icon, just reopened after a long shutdown. Was eager to check it out, see the changes, and try the new menu. Kind of a let down, hoping it's only a rocky return that will smooth out. Service wasn't what it used to be. Place wasn't busy but it was hard to get the server's attention. The hand cut fries with creme fraiche and peanut satay was stone cold when it arrived at the table. They took it back to the kitchen and either briefly nuked it or shoved it under a broiler. Came back warm and I don't know if the creme fraiche scorched or what, but it tasted terrible. It was better cold. Finally got the server's attention again. We just wanted to cancel the order and take it off the tab at that point. The server was argumentative and told us the chef was going to be disappointed. Well, me too.

The Globe is back!! They reopened about a month ago. Brand new bathrooms!! Did not eat, but the menu seems close to the last one although somewhat pared down.

We love the Celtic Music session and head to Athens for it literally whenever we can. Globe keeps us coming back to Athens long after we've moved. And even tho it's a pub, they're really family friendly and we have never felt unwelcome with the little one <3
