On vacation , we asked the Hotel staff if he could give us some ideas for a local bar /food, he recommend Workers tavern, the waitress was very friendly, she tended the bar and cooked, we both had bison burgers which were fabulous ,big portions. The inside in rustic, meet another couple from Canada. Had a very nice time. Hope we get back there.
April is a great bartender the best to be exact . I have been to Mary Todd's bar 5 times...... today was my 5th time there I come from over a thousand miles away to go to this bar and always bring lots friends here. I always recommend it because the food is great and the bartenders are always awesome. But, today I met Mary Todd and I will never come back there again and none of my friends will ever come back. She is a f****** JERK
I'm a contractor from out uptown... Check out about four or five other bars here in town this evening they're okay not too bad... Popped in here and was pretty happy their patio outback was absolutely amazing fire pit .. amazing ambience... Not a big clam chowder fan but I had the most amazing bowl of clam chowder that I've ever had in my travels here tonight. For bar food I was quite impressed I've got a great menu. Open late. Very tasteful decor... Overall it's a great place and I'll make it my stomping grounds while I'm here

This is a great local bar with good food and drink. There are all kinds of food with something for almost everyone. There's also a fun outdoor area with a fire pit.
Please do yourself a favor and order the hush puppies. They are ridiculously good. Everything that I've seen come out of their kitchen is excellent. The fried food somehow comes out perfect every time.
And definitely order yourself a yucca to drink and have someone else drive. They pack a punch!

What a great little watering hole! My wife and I never miss the opportunity to visit Workers Tavern situated under the Astoria Bridge. Staff is great and they are not afraid trade light hearted barbs, that are all in good spirit, with the customers. Don’t miss out on the famous YUCCA!
I had some "fish stew" that was out of this world! It's a local Hangout. Good breakfast. Lots of beer. Lots of History. Funky but very friendly. It's located under the big bridge in Astoria. This part of town is called Uniontown. Every holiday, well Christmas and Thanksgiving, they serve a good holiday meal.
What a great little place. We were traveling through, got in late. Food served until 1:30. Food was good bartender very friendly. Just a great locals bar. If you are staying on the west end, give it a try.
My damn cheeks hurt from laughing. Best owner. Best staff. Damn good food. Overall great place to come to. This is my favorite spot in Astoria. The apparel here is really good too. The shirts are soft and feel like you are getting gentle angel kisses on your nip nips.

Very Friendly, and Comfortable.. The place was pretty Busy when I arrived. One Outstanding Hostess covered the entire place, from drinks to cooking to server. Beautiful patio area in the rear. The food was great at a decent price, and my drink was always full..
Parking was tricky with limited curbside available, but there was plenty of parking available across the street.
