My wife and I loved the place when we were living in the area. Now that we have kids, we brought them along for a nice dinner. The place is cozy, the food is good, and the staff is attentive.
You go here because it’s a welcoming, calm, no-judgement diner / family restaurant with amiable service and rather good coffee. You go here to talk, or to be silent. To eat some big boxed mix pancakes, a perfectly made omelette, a bowl of vegetable soup, and watch the world go by.

Just came from their excellent place for a nice Greek salad and a nice hamburger cook the way you like it in the price very reasonable friendly atmosphere.
This place is unfortunately closed, but Google won't remove it. It had the cheapest delicious breakfast plate, and the best diner breakfast potatoes in the neighborhood.
The LUMBERRRRRRRJACK breakfast is my go to.... Only place in Astoria that offers the best lumberjack meal or the meal itself.
