Dionysos Restaurant - Astoria - Photo album

It was a Saturday night. before Halloween We were in Astoria and were going to go to The Bohemian Beer Garden but it was a total mess with screaming kids and wasted teenagers we couldn’t find a server. It was loud and crowded! Yeesh. So we did a Google search for a place to eat in the area and just
Dionysos is a very intimate Mediterranean dining experience. The food is perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. What sets this place apart from other greek / Mediterranean restaurants is their calamari. Each bite of that calamari is like a dream. I paired it with their house salad and everything was im
Very pleasant service and delicious food! Due to current conditions, I was the only diner at the time, but my Christmas dinner there was excellent! Too bad the menu didn't offer dessert, but the quality and atmosphere were worth the trip back to Astoria from Forest Hills.
This is some amazing Greek food. The dips were all delicious! We tried the branzino and a Greek salad and everything tasted great! The place is very basic, no frills but the food is what you go there for! Can’t wait to go back!
Was shopping in Astoria and decided to take home some local food for din-din. This place had good looking photos so popped by to order takeout. On the google menu it said the souvlaki platter came with both a potato side and salad but when I ordered it, she said I had to pick. She said she would ad
The food here is delicious. It’s very well seasoned! The seafood pasta was full. The zucchini croquets and spanakopita were also seasoned to perfection. The pastitsio was great because the top layer was still soft and mousse like. They also have live Greek music on Saturday evenings late into the ni
Great food and ABSOLUTELY SUPERB service. You can tell the restaurant is family owned and passionate about sharing their culture. Our waiter, Emmanuel, was full of recommendations, surprised us with grapes leaves &dessert when we mentioned celebrating a birthday, and would even talk us out of orderi
Excellent authentic Greek food, wonderful friendly service. A fairly simple room, but nice decor. We went on a Sunday evening and were the only guests, but they looked after us very well. Highly recommended. The roast lamb and lemon potatoes were divine.
We went on a Saturday night around 9. The place is classy and clean, the service was wonderfully attentive and warm, the food was good, and the excellent live Greek music... wow, what a great surprise. We had a memorable evening. We'll definitely be going back. Reccomended
For a Monday night, the place was dead. However, service was great and food was as expected.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing!!! Walked in and was asked about a reservation, didn't have one but still allowed to come in and dine with no hassle. It was a Saturday, the live music was amazing! The whole restaurant had a vibe that it was a family or just an ton of regulars but welcomed u

It was amazing. The best pastitsio I've ever had! I didn't eat it, but my dining partner said that the octopus was perfectly cooked and amazing. Would definitely go back for some ouzo shots and more food. And the service is so friendly and great!
Nice little Greek place, looks like I just missed the rush and live music but service was pretty decent. Tried moussaka for the first time, and it was great. Some of the best lemon potatoes I've had. I'll definitely try to make it back to see some of the live music on Fridays!
This restaurant was very good. They served toasted pita and a dip which was very good. We had the house red wine which was very good. I had the horiatiki salad. I had chicken souvlaki with lemon potatoes. The tziki sauce was very good. For dessert they give you baklava and a spongy cake. We went o
