Amazing food! I had the Salmon with vegetable and dirty rice. The flavors were incredible. The other dishes ordered were equally as good and flavorful. Small and cozy with indoor and outdoor seating. Small bar in back. Great mimosas!
Just came again this holiday weekend and our waitress Alejandra was amazing she made sure she gave us the specials an even a few recommendations! We had the Clams and the Oysters they had on the menu that day 😋. We also had the crab cakes, empanadas! The FRIED GOAT CHEESE is a Must try its delicious! Always a great experience and I'll be back!
I've order here a few times on Seamless, but stopped in for a Saturday Brunch and this place didn't disappoint! We were able to pick a table as the restaurant wasn't busy at all, but idk why because the food is on point! The waiter we had was so kinda and helped us make our final brunch choice. I went with the bottomless which is $33 for 1 entree and unlimited Mimosa, Bellingham, Screwdrivers, Well drinks or my Favorite the Raspberry Lemonade Sangria 😋. For the entree I got the Southern Belle Bennie with Scramble eggs and I literally ate everything but the salad on my plate. The portions are perfect for brunch and the overall vibe you get here is great. The also have banging dinner options here as well. This is such an Astoria gem that more people need to discover! I'll be back for sure this wasn't the 1st and won't be the last just finally wrote the review they deserve.
This place is a gem. I found it on Google and was just in the mood for soul food. Upon entering it reminded me of New Orleans style dinning but with a fantastic twist. The food was highly satisfying, not heavy and didn't need extra sauce. We cleaned our plates and enjoyed our Rum Runners. Definitely a great choice for a Date night or just at the bar bites. 😋
Great Louisiana style southern food! Awesome brunch spot! So glad that I couldn’t find any parking way further down the block, where I originally intended to go. I got myself a glazed donut sandwich with egg, cheese, bacon. And my lady ate up some pulled pork eggs Benedict on cheese grits. Southern belle Benedict. Both were bayou-rific!! Sorry for that. Good place though. I’ll be back. Ate at the bar and had a very friendly bartender too. Mary, was her name.
Cute little Southern Bistro with a wonderful attentive staff! The Watermelon Margarita and the Froze tasted so fresh and was so refreshing. The Bloody Mary on the other hand tasted like cocktail sauce. ☹️ As for the food: The appetizers were good, we got the raging Shrimp, crab cakes and Buffalo cauliflower. The burger I ordered was just "ok" though. The beef patty was a little too salty, dense and tasted like a frozen patty cooked in the oven too long. We did like the fries, both Cajun and regular, but we LOVED the drinks!
This place is good. The food is great. The staff is okay. I took my two boys (2 years and 5 years old). They sat us over one of those side basment metal doors. One guy looked like he was frustrated because I asked him to move us off that.
I definitely enjoy going here to eat, the staff makes the experience worth it, like our orders actually matter. I love Thier Mac and Cheese, which one? All of them! And honestly if you're as much of an Mac and Cheese enthusiast like me, then you shouldn't wait to go give it a try, it's all worth it!
Excellent spot for dinner just little hard to spot especially if you’re driving but if you’re on foot and paying close attention and also reading the menus you’ll realize that you found something interesting and that’s what happened to me,food price & service is good.
Too bad they don’t accept American Express Cards
Wait staff was super attentive and the food my husband and I ordered (jumbalaya and a chicken po boy) was delicious. I'm definitely going back there for the jumbalaya! The chef also came out and asked us what we thought of the food. He has read the reviews and I know he and the rest of the staff care about the quality of their food and their service.
This restaurant was amazing. The owner walks around talking to everyone. He also serves tables their food. He is funny and when the food came it was a perfect match for him. Just great. Hidden gem this restaurant. It's a must go and a have to return.
A delicious and consistently good staple on Ditmars Blvd. Their customer service is phenomenal, and they have the best mojitos I've had in Astoria, at a pretty good deal of $5 during happy hour. The food itself is southern comfort with generous serving sizes, and almost everything comes with a side salad (which I love! Variety is the spice of life right?). My personal favorites are the nola Napoleon and jambalaya for dinner :)
