Review Sabry's Seafood - Astoria

Amazing food, all fresh sea food.... Probably the best squid I've had. The grilled branzino was delicious I had it both normal grilled and Egyptian style. All the food priced right as well. AMAZING.....

The food was good the reason for my 4 star was a service fee charged with no disclaimer among a few other things. The food tasted very clean and fresh. Both my Bronzino and my wife’s Red snapper were excellent. The sides were rice and house salad which paired well with lemon and the fishes. We also had the octopus and the baba ganoush which were both some of the best I’ve tried. One thing I will say because it is not described on the menu is if you are trying to avoid burnt foods Egyptian style is burnt flower with cumin among other spices. It is very delicious however and with some lemon is great. One other thing is why plastic cups at a dine in? The server’s were very quick to serve and catered well. The prices were fair along with quantity and the quality was excellent. Parking near by is ok also but not great. I may give Sabry’s a second go but the service fee is highly off putting.

The best seafood I have had! It is very delicious and prepared in the authentic Egyptian way. The waiters were very nice and the service was amazing. A guy who seemed to be the owner went above and beyond in making us comfortable and gave us extra Mousaa’ and Harissa as a gesture of kindness. 100% recommend and would definitely come back when I am in the city next time. We got the sea food combo for two!

Despite getting the opening time wrong, the wait was worth it. I don’t like eating fish other than from my kitchen because it smells sea fresh and not flavored well enough. But, I was delighted when I tasted my daughter’s fish she bought here. So I had to come in and order my own. Their seasoning is fresh so it heightens your senses and taste buds. The owner’s recipe is one to really enjoy. So to my first fish restaurant review: “I recommend trying this place! I’m sure you will enjoy it.”

You can’t go wrong with fresh lobster and shark. Amazing ingredients and spice(Arab style). Their free appetizers bread is so good. Well priced in a very a commercial zone.

Was able to get a table for two without reservations on Sunday, mother day evening! Busy place where you could see the locals love to go! Parking was difficult to find so we had to park a few blocks away. Waiter forgot our order but offered complimentary drinks (mango and lemonade which was lime infused) while we waited a bit longer. We orders the linguine clam dish and the seafood combo for one that came with salad and rice. It seemed all guests get fresh bread while they waited.

This is the best seafood place I’ve ever been to, the Egyptian style sardines, garlic clams and taojin mixed seafood are to die for. The service is 20/10, I cannot wait to go back.

It’s a small restaurant, kind of cozy- the food is not bad I have had better 🦞 seafood. They serve great babaghanouj and tahini sauce. The service was good the waiter was very friends and kept cleaning our table as we made a huge mess since we were a large group. Yes I would recommend this place.

Loved my first time at Sabry’s Seafood. Me and a friend were looking for a good spot in Astoria and Sabry’s has been on my list for quite a but. Fish is fresh, pita is so good as well as baba ganoush. Portions are easily sharable. The vibe is warm and cozy. We shared baba, pita, salad, rice and Bbq branzino Egyptian style and the total came to $38 Great experience, i’ll be back!

I would 100% recommend this authentic Egyptian seafood place, everything was great! We stopped here on a Saturday around 7ish, we were welcomed and seated, the place got packed quick, I would recommend making a reservation. You get to pick from the fresh fish and they cook it for you, we picked 2 fishes and they grilled it and it came with salad, bread, and rice which is nice! ($60 for both) The fish was very fresh and grilled to perfection definitely very authentic, salad and bread were also very fresh, the rice could’ve been better( more authentic Syadya). We ordered eggplant appetizer and it tasted great! The service is also good, overall I would highly recommend Sabry’s! المكان جميل و سمك فرش

The food at Sabry’s is to die for! The seafood combo for two will feed 3-4 people. The bread was the best bread I’ve ever eaten. The owner was very kind and we had great service.

My experience at Sabry's was absolutely unexpected and blew me away. Sabrys is an Egyptian seafood restaurant and allows you to feel as if you are stepping over into the Middle East to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with hopes to catch a soccer game on television. When you arrive you have the opportunity to choose your own fish which is an excitement within itself. A go-to fish to pick for me would be the red snapper and branzini. I decided on the branzini, and it literally melted into my mouth. I tasted another fish that was still very delicious but not as smooth in taste as the Branzini. This is simply a matter of taste bud preferences, so don't be afraid to pick any of their fish. :) While waiting for the fish to be prepared whole and fresh, we received a delicious house flat bread freshly baked. I must emphasize that their flat bread will make your mouth water on it's own. However, they dont have a gluten-free alternative for their flatbread, which I hope to stumble on one day. We also received eggplant and salad with our meal. We ordered a fish soup, which could have been my meal on it own and was absolutely savory. It even included the most large yet fresh octopus, clams, and shrimps I've ever seen in a soup. By the time we made it through the appetizers and soup, I was already full. However, I managed to make room for some of my fish and enjoyed it to the fullest. The fish came with an Egyptian style rice that was extremely tasty the next day for lunch. You definitely will have food to bring home or could even share some of the dishes. The service was very professional and of quality. Prices were fair for the quality of food and the experience of being able to pick your fish. I normally would give a three for the atmosphere because it doesn't match their 5-star seafood and overall dining experience. I left it a 5 because the atmosphere also fits an Egyptian theme that is unique within itself. A must return to location. Please visit and feel free to follow my IG @fotiniamanda to observe some of these adventures in real time, as I don't get around to reviewing as often as I would like.

We came to NY for the US Open Tennis Tournament. We were unfamiliar with our surroundings & absolutely found a gem at Sabry’s! The seafood was so fresh & well prepared! Everything including the bread is made fresh in house. The icing on the cake—our service was just as outstanding as the food.

I eat at Sabrys very often. I have tried many different items on their menu. I have yet to be disappointed. The food is wonderful! The salads, eggplant, hummus and babaganoush truly delicious. The bread is amazing! Fresh from the oven. Fish is fresh and grilled to perfection. The service is as good as the food! I recommend this restaurant to all seafood lovers!! 5 stars!

Good Egyptian seafood cuisine in Astoria. This area is a mini hub for middle eastern restaurants. We ordered 2 broiled Bronzino fish. The meal came with one small salad, one small serving of hummus and 3 pieces of freshly baked Egyptian bread and 2 servings of rice. Fish was charred to the point of entirely blackened outside but inside was moist and soft to the point of being soggy. Somehow it lacked flavor inside and tasted bland while the outer skin was bitter due to over charring. Overall it was just ok. Bread, hummus and salad were tasty and fresh. Rice was ok. We also ordered Egyptian tea with mint which actually turned out to be the highlight of the meal. This meal cost us $100 with tip.
