Watawa has been for a few years & continues to be my favorite Sushi restaurant in Queens, the restaurant itself is sexy, modern with a sophisticated vibe, aesthetically pleasing decor and great music always playing in the back. The sushi in my opinion is always so fresh, so tasty, so delicious and well put together. Grilled squid + Kani salad always added on my order & super recommended. Great service.

Came here on a Tuesday night and could have walked in without a reservation. The sushi was good and we also had the miso soup, which I also recommend. The restaurant had an indoor and outdoor seating options. The vibe was on the casual side

Excellent hibachi and sushi. I had the lunch special and the portions were gracious. The salad was pretty much drenched in ginger dressing so that it was not great but the rest was delicious. Outdoor dining is always a bonus in my book.

Great sushi, absolute best in the neighborhood. Nice for dine in or delivery. Reasonable prices especially in lunch specials. Fast and reliable delivery. I call and they have my address saved and card on file once I verify so it’s simle. Delivery is fast and good. Will keep coming back!

It’s a good place for good sushi. Good~but not great. They’re special rolls aren’t too special, almost seemed like it was all the same base of ingredients, just add/remove some. Was hoping for more variety. The ambiance is nice, great lighting for a cozy vibe. The tea was lovely. The miso soup was nice. The sushi was fresh and good. Unfortunately the music was blasting some intense EDM music, that didn’t fit the atmosphere. It would have been really nice to change the music to something more casual. We ordered the sushi and sashimi for two. We might be back to try other special rolls for more variety!

My friends, sister and I went here yesterday for my birthday lunch. The food was good, especially the fried calamari which they put fried squid on the receipt (they aren’t the same). The interior was beautiful, sucks they didn’t offer wifi because none of my messages were delivered or received. The bumble bee roll is a good concept and it was yummy but there was no sauce on it leaving more to be desired. Usually for mango rolls, they have mango sauce on it. The appetizers are overpriced imo, if anything of the appetizers we ordered the calamari was the most worth it one. The server put spicy tuna roll and spicy yellowtail roll for my friend’s order which is correct but she received spicy tuna roll and yellowtail jalapeño roll. The food is fresh which is great. The salad is a great portion and it was delicious and fresh.

My favorite sushi restaurant in Astoria and one of my favorites of all time! I have noticed that on the weekends the sushi is so fresh and every ingredient is just perfect! I am allergic to avocado and they have never messed this up once (thank goodness). I used to really love Blue Ribbon Sushi, but I’m so afraid to go back since they put avocado in my roll after I repeated many times I’m allergic please substitute with mango. I really appreciate this restaurant for being cautious and caring about my allergies. BTW, If you haven’t tried an eel and mango roll, do it and you’re welcome in advance. The restaurant is also atheistically well designed and gives you trendy NYC feels. This vibe is great for any occasion be it a business meeting, date night, birthday, or any other group dinner and event. I have been so many times and always receive quality service. Thank you for all the hard work and yummy sushi, Watawa Sushi!

A pretty solid sushi spot in Astoria! Surprisingly, they had lunch specials on a Saturday. We ordered the 3 roll combo, the sashimi set, eel cake (one of their special rolls and was my favorite- it consisted of salmon and eel with avocado - layered like a slice of cake) and tuna tartare. Everything was outstanding and fresh. Our server was professional and attentive and always made sure our water was filled. Would definitely come back again!
