When searching for a breakfast place on our route, my traveling companion found this place in a Google search. The menu showed trout with breakfast and we were sold. The meal comes with trout, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, and hash browns, plus all the condiments. The trout is the star of this meal. It was the absolute best I have ever had. That said, I would recommend skipping the eggs and hash browns, which were not very good at all.My eggs were undercooked and the hash browns smell like they were cooked with rancid oil.
Note that this establishment charges a 15% surcharge because they didn't want to increase their menu prices. Not a pleasant surprise.
Also note, this is an NRA, gun-loving, "God-fearing", anti-mask place with right-winged propaganda incorporated into their decor.
If u get a chance to stop here... DO IT!! U won't be sorry! The wait staff here is AMAZING super attentive and great attitude. The food was delicious and good sized portions. We are so glad we stopped here! The decor is awesome and really great to look at. ♡ great place
We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were told to find a clean table and they'd be right with us. We were seated only for a few minutes when our server, Russell came by and took our orders. He was friendly, professional and very fast. Our food came out quickly and our food was hot and tasty. I've been coming here my entire life and this time we've had the best food and service!

We were passing through Ashton Idaho on a 14 day trip and Googled places for breakfast near us. The TRAILS INN restaurant popped up and we found it easily just a block off the HWY. It is SUCH a neat place. All kinds of interesting artifacts and art COVER the log cabin architecture. SUPER clean. VERY friendly owners and staff. AND the biggest breakfast ever! Highly recommend making this restaurant a destination for breakfast or lunch!!!
Chicken fried steak as big as my head!!
We stopped in after a long day of snowmobiling for a bite to eat. The twice baked potatoes were too die for! Hands down the best potato I’ve ever had. Huge portions and great flavor. The salad was good, and the hot cocoa had four inches of whipped cream on it.
The atmosphere is nice, cabinish and very much in keeping with the area. The service was excellent and the staff was super friendly. It’s my new favorite in Ashton!

Nice family type restaurant. We missed breakfast so had lunch instead. I had the fish sandwich with fries and my hubby got thr hot roast beef sandwich. It was yummy
