Looking for Something Special. My husband & I have been eating at the Fireplace restaurant for over 4 years. The service is great, as well as the food. My favorite meal is the 30 shrimp 3 ways, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. You can also order the buffett, Thursday nights BBQ, and FRI & SAT nights SEAFOOD. Great for when you can't decide what you want to eat, you can have a little of everything. Wonderful.
Salad bar is one of the best around!!!!
Great Food, Great Atmosphere!. Been dining here for years. Food is well-prepared and the price is decent. The salad bar is very good, with homemade dressings. Usually not very crowded, which is nice, due to the size of the place. Highly recommend!
Fireplace is cookin' good. A decent option on the northside. Service isn't always great, and food is ok. Kinda cool that the locals go here, and the workers know some of their customers by name.
The Fireplace restaurant is located on Weaverville Road between Asheville and Weaverville. It is a log built dining room that has served several owners previously but is finding a comfortable home as a family style home cooked soul food buffet. The parking lot fills up every Sunday and does a good business through the week as well. During warmer weather there are tables on the wrap around porch that can be used but during the winter its all in doors. The entry is a bit small for the amount of business they have so you get up close and personal with other diners waiting to get in as well as the staff walking through. If you take this is stride you will find the food worth waiting for once you're taken to your table. The atmosphere is country casual featuring the rugged beams, wood floors and rock fire place. The service is fast paced and usually without a lot of waiting. Sometimes when they are busy the server is only running trying to keep up with the number of tables they serve. But t

We had Sunday breakfast buffet at The Fireplace and found many dishes to choose from. My husband said the grits were very good, choosing plain grits over the cheesy grits. There were several styles of breakfast potatoes, eggs any way you wanted them prepared by the “egg chef”, along with a big dish of scrambled eggs. Bacon, ham, sausage, pork tenderloin, gravy, eggs Benedict, fresh fruit salad, toast, big biscuits, a tray of sweet breakfast treats, and nice looking pancakes. I’m sure I missed other dishes on the 2 large buffets. There is also a menu to choose other options. If your looking for a good Sunday breakfast, you must try this restaurant. Prices are quite reasonable. We knew it had to be good because so many of the law enforcement personnel were eating there. Those folks know where to find good food. Definitely going back when we’re in Asheville.
Enjoy! 😋
We went during the seafood buffet. I can say it was very good and fresh. The service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and neat. So for the value is excellent
Walked in at 1:40 for a late lunch. They close at 2 pm to set up for a 5 pm dinner.
Buffet was still up as was the menu. Hostess got us seated and we opted for the buffet. Salad bar was fantastic according to my wife. Buffet was the usual fare, meatloaf, fried fish, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, etc.
All in all it was a good break from the fast food world.
I've been living in the area for 3 years and driven by this place hundreds of times. I finally had a craving for some Prime Rib and heard they were the place to go. I debated between the Sat night Seafood buffet which looked amazing, but settled on the 12oz Prime Rib. It was delicious, and well cooked med rare, which fed me for two meals! It's a great local family restaurant, give it a try,
as you won't be disappointed. The décor is fine, with lots of booths for families, friends and elbow room. Hey it's a log cabin, so you'll feel right at home on Thursday night BBQ. I'll be back as a local for the Seafood Feast!
Amazing food, great price, excellent service, nice atmosphere. Ribs fell right off bone and came with tasty hush puppies as a nice surprise. Husband loved grouper sandwich. Everything was very good. Por h is pet friendly. Liked it so much. Went back next day to try buffet which offered 4 meat choices, excellent potato soup, separate salad bar and strawberry cobbler- all for $12 per person senior rate, a dollar less than regular without having to ask for discount. Highly recommend The Fireplace restaurant!
I am not sure why the ratings here aren’t higher! EVERYTHING was uniquely flavored and delicious! The broccoli cheddar soup was excellent as well as the cornbread ( finally one that is moist and not sweet) the Fish wash sooo good…. I could go on and on! I totally loved our visit! Don’t sleep on this place
BBQ night on the buffet! Smoked wings and ribs were amazing. Smoked shoulder was too. Great price. Can't imagine anyone NOT getting the buffet but then again, all the food coming out of the kitchen looked good also.
Great little hometown buffet with meat and vegetable style. Excellent fried fish, corn beef and cabbage, and veggie variety on the buffet. Very cozy atmosphere and a nice salad bar as well. Local country comfort food.
The Fireplace Restaurant gets 5 stars all the way down the board from me. It don't matter if you get the buffet or if you order from the menu because it's all good. Me personally, I love the buffet. Because I like to start with the salad bar and soup. Then top it off with the buffet. There meat, fish, tarter sauce and corn on the cobb is always awesome and delicious.😋 I love this place!🤘
Today's visit was a pleasant lunch. Food good service good and love the salad bar. Food bar comes with dessert.
