Awesome birthday celebration. Their shrimp taquittos are totally delicious. Then, they served a " fried" ice cream with cool whip. If you have never tried a fried ice cream - you definitely should. My daughter loves the fresh salmon entree with spinach and mushrooms. Prices are very reasonable. Service- is exceptional. Our waiter, Henrri, was terrific- on the spot, there when you needed him, but not hovering . If you haven't tried this place , you need to. In Asheville, at the Town and Country Plaza on Patton Ave.
My friends and I had an amazing time at El Que Pasa Mexican restaurant! The salsa bar alone deserves a standing ovation - it’s out of this world good. The shrimp tacos I ordered were hands down some of the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. The service was fantastic, and what’s even better is the affordability. Can’t wait to return for more delicious food and good times!

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. I do not understand any of the bad reviews. Food and service is simply amazing. Lots of original dishes on the menu. I had the Chile Verde with carnitas. Melt in your mouth delicious. The steak ranchero is amazing too.
This was my first time dining here, and I had a wonderful experience. I don't recall the name of my dish, but it came with a sope (added beef) and a chicken enchilada with rice and beans. It was delicious! Also, I loved all the salsa/sauce selections. I sat over on the bar side, but this is definitely a family-friendly place, so don't let the photo fool you. This place has tons of space. Whether you're trying to watch a game over a meal or dining out with family, I highly recommend this restaurant. Great food, service, and atmosphere.
Long live El Que Pasa ! This place is so good. I’ve been several times now and this time, although the busiest I’ve seen, was arguably the best visit yet. Super impressed with how efficient this place is. After a short wait for our table, we had drinks and our meals within 15 minutes. Incredibly fast. Food was piping hot and delicious to the last bite. Drinks were on point also. Literally not a bad thing to say.
Today I came in and sat at a high top , just waiting on my husband. The bartender , Giselle , was so on point . My goodness she and I met 12 years ago at the smaller bar before the addition. I'll tell you what , she as well as the whole staff are top notch at their jobs . But also she's not blowing smoke. She's sincere and that made our experience once again 5 stars.
Nom nom nom. They have long iland ice tea and great service.
The food was not the same old Mexican food you get at any other Mexican joint. It was unique and so flavorful. They included what I believe to be a Tex-Mex recipe of tomalito as a garnish. I could eat a bowl full of it! The sauce on the asada steak burrito was magnificent. It is my new favorite Mexican restaurant.
Read the reviews and saw some 5 star and some 1 star ratings, so was a bit hesitant at first. The atmosphere and service was truly terrific and all of our food came out as massive portions, so I can only rave about El Que Pasa. The house margs were also under $8 and we were all given a generous pour, so I highly recommend.
You think all Mexican restaurants are the same. They kind of are. This place always makes me think their food is more "authentic" to what you would find in their own home or their country. I enjoy it because it is such a nice change.
