We enjoyed our visit for lunch and will definitely be back. My husband had the Loopy Joe burger with broccoli and he said it was delicious and the same goes for my beef burger on the potato bun with lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, jalapeños & pepper jack and I chose the greens as a side (so good!). All the food was excellent! We had great service! Everyone was really friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was neat with an open Tavern feel having stonework, wood and ironwork. There is outdoor seating & accommodations for large groups inside and out. There is plenty of parking and located in a nice downtown area that is nice to stroll around and see the sites. It’s a shame this restaurant isn’t closer to our home but worth the hour drive that we made to eat there.
Had breakfast and lunch here Great food! Fast service! Good price! It’s always busy! Parking is a bit hard.
You better walk in to Five Points Restaurant hungry, because they do not mess around with portions. They are big. You will walk away stuffed full.
Better yet, the food tastes beyond the price tag, as you will spend $10-20 per person, but the food could easily pass as $20-30 when you consider the huge portions.
They offer their full menu all day, including breakfast, leaving you with an overwhelming amount of options to choose from, and the sides vary depending on the day of the week, all of which means you could eat here multiple days a week and still eat something entirely different each day.
The service was seriously excellent, our waiter was super attentive and quick to meet our requests.
Absolutely zero complaints from our party of five.
If you are in this area, you must stop by here for a meal. Maybe even two or three.
While visiting Asheville, NC for the first time, my husband asked some people at the gas station where we could get some good home-cooked breakfast. (Jokingly he asked about Waffle House🥸.) Several people said 5 Points was the spot. It's not dazzling to look at when you drive up, but don't let that fool you. The service is top notch quick, friendly and the food was
"yuuuumy".
Very good time with nice people. One of the last stands orignal Asheville eateries. The food was great and the price was reasonable. You are going to have a wait here so come earlier than you want to eat.
Everyone was super nice and fun to talk too.
The only reason 5 points was because it was so loud. It was so loud my Apple Watch was triggered for noise. Oh and I almost forgot about the parking very congested almost hazardous. Table can be cramped use the window for space. The food and service were great! It had the home style taste they didn’t cut any corners. The show stopper was the waffle. It was fluffy and melted in your mouth. No need to do a-lot of syrup it will just saturate. Get the waffle whether you are a waffle lover or not! I got the country fried steak plenty of gravy and everything. It’s not built for those sensitive to noise or compact parking. But if you want a good meal just do it!
Quaint little diner with good prices, great service and good food. Breakfast served all day. Walked down the trail from the botanical gardens. Great way to spend a morning in Asheville.
This is our go to place. Every single meal we’ve ever had here has been delicious. The attached photo is the lamb gyro and salad.
I always measure breakfast by the classic scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and a biscuit and Five Points came through with a 5-Star classic. Service was superb, coffee delicious. Wife loved the French Toast.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here! He ordered the Country Fried Steak with sides and I ordered a fried Grouper wrap. Everything was DELICIOUS! And our waitress was attentive and very sweet! We loved the cozy atmosphere, as well. If we didn't live 1-1/2 hours away, we would go there regularly!!!
