First restaurant we tried on our Biltmore restaurant tour. Locally sourced ingredients, including meat from Biltmore's very own larders. The pork belly sliders were lively with a tangy brown sauce. I would say that unlike many restaurants, I preferred the main dishes over the appetizers. The Cornish hen was well cooked, savory and crispy on the outside. The surf and turf special was the best lobster / steak combo we had.

Great moody restaurant. The meat is from local Biltmore livestock and the steak was fantastic. They have a great kids menu and coloring. The outside is covered in winter lights creating a magical experience.

Stopped by on Thanksgiving day after touring Biltmore. There was barely any wait which was great. We ordered the cauliflower to start which was a pleasant surprise. It was crunchy and tasty, the beer cheese was delish but the pickled onions were the highlight; they bought the entire dish to life. We also ordered the pork burger (which was very rich in flavor and a good substitute to you regulars burger) and the fish and chips (which were light, flaky, and pretty big in size. So tasty it didn’t even need the tarted sauce). Would def come back again.

A 30-minute wait but worth it. After working up an appetite spending a few hours inside Biltmore, we were eager to get to Cedric's. On a chilly rainy day, the mushroom and wild rice soup was perfect to get our meal started. Shepherd's pie was delicious and comforting. Fish & Chips were very fitting for the tavern atmosphere.

Mid-afternoon lunch for 3 on the patio. Great Reuben (wow, those homemade chips!), Farmer's salad, and Chicken Tikka. A big group of college students slammed the kitchen just as we arrived (these things happen) so it took 45 minutes for our meals, but worth the wait. Our charming and gracious server Seth kindly gave us a complimentary dessert for the delay. Orange Crème Brûlée! A great finish to a lovely meal. Thank you Seth!

Cedric's Tavern at the Biltmore offers a delightful experience, especially for dog lovers with its dog-friendly outdoor seating. The menu boasts excellent dishes like Shepards Pit and fresh salads, complemented by the delightful touch of homemade pickles. Make sure you go a beer or wine tasting! The combination of a pet-friendly atmosphere and quality food makes it a great choice for those seeking a charming dining experience.

The food and service at Cedric’s was very good. It’s generally a pretty busy place and they handle it well. We had the fish and chips and they were pretty good but not tops that I’ve tasted. The theme of Cedric’s is really interesting as a favor dog of Vanderbilt. We had the summer squash and marscarpone cheese. It was very good and I would recommend if you’re visiting soon.

The food was good and just the right portions. The cocktails were also great. What I most liked about this tavern is that it celebrated the Vanderbilt dog, Cedric. The restaurant is littered with pictures of the restaurant namesake. His collar is proudly displayed in a glass case by the entrance of the tavern. And you can take pictures with a bronze sculpture of Cedric just outside of the tavern entrance. Not into selfies? Then take home a plush of Cedric, sold inside the tavern.

All the staff were amazing! The Bison burger was great and the Fish and chips was spot on. Fries were a little soft was my only issue. Had a couple drinks that were great as well.

We stopped in for lunch on a Friday without a reservation. They did not have immediate seating inside, but did on the patio. The patio was very nice with comfy furniture and a breeze from the ceiling fans. Our server was kind and attentive and the food was delicious! The fire alarm did go off during our visit and we were required to move to seats outside of the patio’s boundaries until the fire department could arrive to clear the alarm. While inconvenient, the staff was very kind in helping us move and made up for the experience. Overall, we highly recommend!
