Stopped in on Sunday night, seated promptly. We started off with a couple of appetizers. They were delectable. I ordered the trout pate for my entree, holy moly it was amazing. Hubby ordered the braised lamb and hand cut pasta, my son ordered the trout with seasonal vegetables. To finish off, we had all the desserts they offered except the cheese plate. This place is a sleeper. The chef knows his craft, well balanced flavors and textures to make your mouth smile with excitement. Food is fresh and locally sourced. You will not be disappointed. Oh, how can I forget the Brussels sprouts. Explosion of flavor in every bite.
More of a 4.5. Food quality was good. Service was good considering our server had too many tables. Clearly it wasn't him, just not more of him.
*Cheese plate- delicious but filling. We had to take the rest to go. The pickles are amazing!
*Double cheese burger- flavorful but a generous portion.
*Tempura zucchini and Squash. Very lightly breaded. It's a very generous portion.
*Mac and cheese- I asked for it without ham or peas. Way better without all those fillers. Flavorful and delicious.
*pot de crème- it came out to us slow, extremely slow. Our server took it off the bill. It was OK, I didn't really care for the raspberry. Would have been fine with just whip cream topping.
Food quality was good and the place was aesthetic. Would definitely return. Plus it's close to our hotel. Location is a plus.
This restaurant is 3.5 in my opinion. I loved the staff and service but the menu is limited, and the main entrees seem overpriced for what you get. Wall Street is an excellent Asheville location. This restaurant could easily be a 5 star again ( I liked it better in the past) with some revisions.
This place is was highly recommended, but I'd say the food was good-ish and the service was so-so. Once I had my food, I was left alone until I requested my check.
I started with the Market Salad which was absolutely delicious; very fresh and tasty. Then I had the Pappardelle with Braised Lamb Shank - this was okay. They could be more generous with the lamb morsels and I was a bit surprised at how wet the dish was. I was told they add some of the au jus from the lamb, but it made the pappardelle a bit soggy for my liking. Lastly, I had the Chocolate and Coffee Pot de Creme - this was delicious. However, the sea salt which really adds to the dish was a little too generous and almost overpowering.
The atmosphere was naught. It was surprisingly slow for the dinner hour but not being local to Asheville, perhaps that's typical.
Had a lovely dinner. Everything had great flavor and was so filling. Definitely will be back when I'm in town again. Highly recommend the Mac and cheese, so creamy. Three drinks were tasty too.
Been here twice now, once for brunch, which was excellent. Again tonight for dinner, did not disappoint.
Very attentive staff, mussels as starter were plenty and nicely done. Snapper special was absolutely perfect, quinoa and veggies alongside. Peach creme brulee was enough for one (no sharing, you won't want to). Cocktails completed everything. I know there are reportedly many nice places to eat in Asheville, this has to be on that list. Don't skip it.
Very relax enviorment. William, the server, was very attentive and friendly same as the rest of the staff. The food was well presented and exquisite. Definitely must try! (Pet friendly outdoor seating, Milo gives 10/10)
Delicious! I had the weekly omelette. It came with potatoes and a jalapeno biscuit. Cooked perfectly. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Friendly and quick service! Definitely recommend checking this place out for brunch.
Appears small in front but inside is spacious and very nice. The waiter was awesome, informative and patient. The food was well presented and delicious. The charcuterie board was well prepared, delicious! Love the Pavlova dessert. Plan to return and highly recommend.
This was the best Shrimp and Grits I’ve had! (Besides my wife’s) 😉and I’ve had shrimp and grits all over the south! the market place is a wonderful restaurant with 44 years of farm to table cooking! I can’t wait to try more off their menu! Especially dinner!
