Fish Bowl

Place was very busy but I was seated in under 10 min. Nice atmosphere and very clean. Service was extremely good and I eat out all the time and was best service and food I've had in a very long time. I ordered the 3 piece catfish and it was in the top 5 catfish places I have eaten at. I brought enough home for 3 more meals. Very reasonably priced. I'm in the area for 2 more weeks and I will be frequenting this place. In fact if I'm within 2 hours of this place I would detour to eat at the fish bowl Can't wait to try their steak

Service was good really liked the fried pickles. This is the first time we have been here in many years. That being said the beans, slaw were also good very large baked potato good. The fish had a great flavor but was very over cooked, the ends were hard and was not good. The hushpuppies were over cooked as well. I was really hoping from the great reviews that this would be my go to places but, to far to drive for just ok food.

Food was great for the most park. Catfish was a tad done, crawfish etouffee was not what I am accustom too. (Not how my cajun family makes it) Wasn't big on the "this is a family restaurant" excuse for not serving beer. No liquor is one thing I can understand, but no beer? This is the south, beer is at every family gathering I have ever been too. (my fam or friends fam) This alone I give it 2 stars, but the staff and the service here are top notch. Our servers were very entertaining, friendly, and prompt. That is why I give it 5 stars. I will definitely stop here on my next stay at the state park. I never did find out if the frog legs were local or not...inside joke...poor new girl. lol

Great little place off the beaten path. Food was excellent, it was super busy but we didn't have to wait long and we were never left waiting for a refill. These are very nice local folks! Portions are large and fish is super tasty. First time I tried frog legs and they were very good. "Tastes like chicken" haha... I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.
