Today my family of six traveled an hour to Indian Taverna hoping to enjoy the delicious lunch buffet that we have visited for years. We considered leaving when we found out that the buffet was not an option at this time. However, Sentil sincerely wanted us to stay. He promised to take care of us, and he did!
We are so very glad that we stayed. We enjoyed everything from appetizer to dessert! Sentil even surprised us with pumpkin halwa! None of us had ever tried it before. It was so good!
We spent two wonderful hours at the restaurant, eating and enjoying each other's company. Thank you, Sentil, for a lovely experience!

5 star is the best Indian I've ever had. The lunch buffet is an incredible value for the price and quality/freshness of the fare. The paneer is bursting with flavor and the butter chicken sops up deliciously in rice or on fresh baked bread, brought straight to your table. The staff is courteous and helpful, ready to explain all the menu items you're unsure of. I always recommend this restaurant to out-of-town business associates.

I just ordered from here for the first time in many years - it used to be Banjara (which was ok).
I didn't have any expectations but I was wowed with what I got.
The veggie byriani = fantastic. Better than you will get at most places in this area.
Happy with my veggie dish, all the big & little things are as authentic as you're going to get.
Can't wait to go back. Hope I don't have to change my review! PS MOST Indian restaurants in this area are not that good. I have mostly given up but I am so grateful there's something close by which has awesome food (here in Ashburn). Safe to assume I will be a regular :).

My specific experiences have been with the weekend lunch buffet. The price is amazing, but what you get for that low price is a fantastic selection of dishes which are presented beautifully and taste great. It is clear that they care about the food they are making and how the spread looks. You can expect great customer service, and there are extras such as freshly made omelettes and fresh chai. This blows away other Indian restaurants in the area on all fronts.

We have eaten here for the lunch buffet several weekends in a row now. The food is great, the selections vary every week, and the service has been very good each time. We love the little extras (masala chai, the occasional special treat for the kids), and will be back again soon!

My wife and I have frequented this place for years. Service is always prompt and courteous and the food very delicious and consistently so. A great alternative for Valentine's day as many don't think Indian on that day. You'll be glad you tried it.
