Cozy, family-owned, made to order. This place is amazing if you're looking some delicious falafel. I was greeted by the Mom who offered me a sample while I waited my order, which is cooked by the Mom herself. Definitely I'll be going again!

This is by far some the best falafel I've ever had. Everything is made to order so expect to wait a little bit for your food. I got the shack special with beef and chicken shawarma and some falafel served with a salad and pita bread.
The dining space is exceptionally small with only three tables that seat two each. They're halal

Very nice lady who serves the falafel. We went there straight from a strenuous hike. While she made our falafels she gave us a starter at no cost at all. She probably saw how hungry we looked. Loved the portion size and the falafel. Loved it! One feedback if they are reading this - increase the quantity of your yummy white sauce just a little as few bites of the falafel was slightly dry.

Hey, you wanna shack up with me?
Falafel Shack, a new & unpretentious halal Mediterranean food spot in my area.
I saw their ad in the Pennysaver and couldn't wait to try the food for myself. See? Marketing works! Just ask the Kardashians! ;p
Hole in the wall accurately describes this place. There are only 3 seats available.
However, sometimes good things come out of holes! ;p
Ordering was a breeze, as the daughter of this mom & pop establishment helped me decide what to get.
I asked her which sandwich did she recommend - falafel, chicken shawerma or beef shawerma? She asked if I was a first timer & if I've had their falafel. I told her no, and she kindly offered me a falafel. I enjoyed it and based on her recommendation, I went with the falafel sandwich. Most places would try to upsell me, but here, she recommended the $2 cheaper falafel sandwich, which I greatly appreciated.
My falafel sandwich-
Falafel, hummus spread, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onion, tahini sauce rolled in pita bread. Muy sabroso! This large Medi-sandwich was delicious! The falafel were crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside. The pickles added texture & brightness. When I ordered, I asked if it came with garlic sauce a la Zankou Chicken. I was told garlic was in the spread, but was given their super-strong garlic sauce on the side. I was warned to just use a little, which I promptly ignored because I like strong flavors. Super-strong it was! Almost as powerful as wasabi, the garlic sauce acted like Sudafed and opened up my sinuses. I put all of it on my sandwich, along with a little of Falafel Shack's optional hot sauce.
I almost gyrated my hips & bellydanced after finishing my falafel sandwich. I immensely enjoyed it. Quick, fast & fresh!
Service was terrific, as the daughter was quite helpful & pleasant. Parking is in a private lot. Falafel Shack is located next to a 7-11. If you blink while driving by, you might miss this little gem in Artesia.
Looks like I found another local foodie spot. The dishes are great & affordable. I can't wait to come back and try another item off the menu. Perhaps their beef shawerma plate or the tabbouleh, since I'm a tabbouleh lovin son of a gun ;p
Highly recommend!

If i could give it zero i would have...we paid $8 or $9 for each plate and by plate i mean a dixie 6" paper plate for cake. The place looked more like a storage unit than a place to get food. There were warming ovens stacked and old soda dispensers with i kid you not with cobwebs and dust all over them..not to mention the place not only did not smell like food until the one guy who looked like he had been hard at work doing what gave me the creeps and the smell of no food cooking or preparing was suspect until he opened his little refrigerator...i ordered salad and shwarma my friend ordered falafel and hummus my chicken was weird tasting and i spit out what looked like a worm but alas it was one of three slivers of onion in the chicken..my tomatoe in my salad was so old the skin was peeling off and so mushy..the lettuce looked like it had been dipped in oil and thrown on the grill. The place didnt even smell like food when we left. I threw my food away and made my friend only because the guy at one point whioe prepping our food after he got something out of the fridge i was watching him prep and he dug around and was wiping his hands on his psnts his pants then threw three handfulls of something in the sink then saw me watching looked startled and turned his body so i couldnt see what he was doing...im pretty positive our food was going bad because clearly it most certainly looked and tasted off. Never ever ever again and i always give a place a second chance not when they knowingly serve rotted food. Get your head in the game guys we need more places to serve middle eastern food you guys need serious food handler classes and a cooking course wouldnt hurt blahk😝

I got a beef shawarma plate ... Food was nasty; Mediterranean salad was mushy and the rice was very greasy ... Never again
