Town Tavern

The food was Great and hospitality was AWESOME! Menu prices are very reasonable. Spinach artichoke dip came out piping hot with very warm pita bread slices. Our entrees came out so fast. My pulled pork sandwich was tender and filling. Sweet potato fries were cooked just right. I am very picky about overcooked sweet potato fries. Cole slaw was not tasty to me, and I was glad that I ordered it on the side and not on my sandwich. My husband ordered the “Pig Pile” which was a huge heaping of homemade Mac N Cheese with pulled pork, bacon, and onion strings. He fell in love with this entree and couldn’t eat it all. A must visit restaurant if you are in the Boston area!

We had dinner at outside table. Feels more social distanced somehow. (Actually indoor dining is same because windows are all wide open). Food is tasty but feels very high calories, definitely can add up to your “winter layer”😆 chicken wings and burger are great! I ordered “Paneed Chicken”. Slightly sour flavor which reduced a lot of heavy gravy taste. Great combination with some cooked kale underneath and fried “cloudy” dough around the whole plate. (This is definitely a satisfying dish if you’re super hungry!)

Lunch here was excellent. Creamy cauliflower soup with bacon and the fried chicken sandwich at the suggestion of the server. My companion had the house salad and turkey tips with vegetable fried rice. Nice day, windows open to street. One drawback, street parking only but that's to be expected in the city.
