Zhu Vegan Kitchen

I have been a vegetarian for 3 years me and my family feel so lucky to meet this vegan restaurant. Best sweet potato fries ever-crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Autumn rolls served with the spicy sauce are tasty. LOVE the fried noodles / Udon - especially the smoky, savory flavors and aromas of stir-fry. Sesame tofu is amazing with an amazing sauce Can munch on forever! It tastes a little bit like the orange chicken but is more delicious. Ingredients are fresh. Quick service. Can't wait to order again and check out other dishes! Highly recommend to non- vegetarian/vegan friends as well!

So I stopped in on a Wednesday, about 1:30/2pm or so and the restaurant was empty. (Another party came in a little after I did, but I nearly had the whole restaurant to myself. The weekday lunch special is a pretty decent value for $12, a main, miso soup, a spring roll, and all but the two noodle options also come with brown rice. The Thai Tea was tasty (and I didn't even think I liked Thai Tea much) but a smidge expensive. I will acknowledge that that could be because of the fact that we're still in a plague and the cost of ingredients could have gone up. Maybe that's not the normal, I don't actually know. I eat pretty much everything, so in no way am I a connoisseur of vegan food, but I left the restaurant pleased with my choices and a full belly. What more can you ask for?

Best restaurant in the area! We ordered four courses, appetizers soup entree and dessert. Each and every food item was extremely fresh and delicious. It was the right balance of tasty and healthy. The server was attentive and the food came out quickly. Overall, the vibe is also extremely calm and refreshing.

This place is pretty good for vegan and healthy alternatives to a bunch of popular Asian dishes. However, I got the veggie dumplings here and they were pretty awful. The attached photo is before I had touched anything and just took the lid off when I got home. Most of the dumplings already had filling falling out, were completely mushy, and fell apart if I tried to pick it up. So that was disappointing!

I'm not a devoted vegan (or even vegetarian) so that's not what brought me to this restaurant. I do happen to like vegetables and, for my health and the health of the planet, I've been trying to reduce my intake of animal protein. When my lunch companion arrived and looked at the menu, he was briefly indignant that it was vegan but didn't propose that we go elsewhere. I ordered L11 Eggplant String Bean and my companion ordered L14 Singapore Style Rice Noodle and, to my relief and his surprise, we both enjoyed our dishes (and each others' dishes.) I will definitely go here again and wouldn't hesitate to try anything on the menu, even the seitan or soy protein dishes, which in another restaurant I might be suspicious of. The food was very flavorful and it was cooked the way I think vegetables should be - still with some structural integrity and fresh-looking color. The sauce might have been a little sweeter that I would have made it but it was probably authentic the way they served it. My friend and I had a computer-related project we wanted to work on and, when I requested it, the waitstaff seated us at a large table close to an electrical outlet, where we stayed for about a half hour after we finished eating. Their WI-Fi is free and fast. Good place. Recommended.

I had made an order ahead of time but due to traffic I ended up delayed and was going to arrive after their normal operating hours. When I called the owner lady and explained she was understandably worried that I wouldn’t make it, but was still nice about the situation. When I arrived in person they were extremely sweet to me when they could’ve been rude and for wasting their time and shut the doors on me, I of course tipped her for her time, but I wanted to share this because they seem like such sweet and professional owners. I will be returning for sure. That aside, their food was to die for, the vegan chocolate cake was delicious. Great tasting food, all vegan, and not greasy! I got their Soy fingers, and the Tofu Delight and it was all delicious.
