Mary's Cafe

So I finally went to Mary's after a co-worker said so many great things about it. Unfortunately, my experience was far from great. I got there a little after 1pm, and it looked like they were recovering from the lunch rush. The place lacks good lighting, but it's fine if you just want to grab and go. I ordered a chicken club, which would have been good if I felt comfortable finishing it. Although there was no visible pink, the texture of the chicken felt like it could have used a few more minutes on the grill. I made it a combo, which added a 20oz drink and fries. When I got to the registered, I picked up a desert, and I told the lady my combo AND that I wanted to get the fruit bar I was holding. She rings up my meal, but leaves off the desert, and then told me that I need to give her cash for my desert. Instead of acknowledging that she was wrong, she gave me attitude. After a few side eyes from me, she changed her tune. She told me I could have had it, but I was so irritated, I just put it back. I got my food, but they forgot my fries, so when I went back to the counter, he just looked at me and said..."you know, to be honest, I totally forgot about them"...it wasn't a huge deal UNTIL he put the hot fries into a plastic container???? Needless to say by the time I got back to my desk, my 'fresh' fries were so soggy from the condensation that built up in the plastic, I couldn't even eat them. So for $10 bucks, I got a sandwhich that I couldn't fully enjoy, fries that had to be thrown away, and a headache from dealing with rude employees. Needless to say, I WILL NOT be going back there!
