Our first experience at Tandoor was amazing. We arrived during the peak dinner hour with no reservations and was seated quickly. The wait staff was very attentative and helpful with providing details about their menu. Wait for food was a little longer due to the rush, but the service was A++.
The food, Lamb Shahi Korma and Garlic Naan, was so full of flavor and fresh! Highly recommend trying it!
Finished the meal off with rice pudding that was perfect!
Have eaten at Tandoor regularly for almost 25 years and the taste and quality of the food has been unchanged during all the time. Food is excellent. Chicken Tikka Masala is the best tasting I have found in the metroplex. Also their buffet price has remained remarkably low all this time compared to other buffets. Hope the renovations change only the interior and not the food taste.
I have been in Dallas only two months and was starting to think the only thing here was not that great BBQ. This being said, I'm so glad I found this place. We have been here twice and both time I could not stop eating. The curry lamb is some of the best I have had in my travels. That's saying a lot sense I have been almost every where. The staff is great, overly friendly and you will never have to ask for anything. Great prices for the food you get. I can't say enough nice things about this place.
My son wanted to go there for his birthday for dinner (we arrived about 7:00), so we went and it was awesome. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. I would have preferred if booth seating (or even more traditional low seating) had been available.
I ordered a medium spicy vegetarian dish but could have asked for spicy, and I will choose spicy on my next visit, and my daughter was able to get a mild dish to suit her pallate. They were accommodating when advising her on menu options to suit her tomato allergy.
My son enjoyed the full flame of the beef vindaloo, and the wait staff were very kind to offer to exchange it for something not as spicy when they observed his reddening face, sheen of sweat, and copius water intake, but both he and I reassured them that he enjoys challenging his senses, and no replacement would be needed. LoL.
I think this is a great place to cater to a variety of spice tolerances, and one I would visit again.
Delicious Indian food... great service. Been here twice In one week! Yes it's that good. Highly recommend.
I have been going there for over 25 years, their food and service remains excellent for all this time. I do need to try their shahi chicken korma. Great place and such reasonable prices.
Been going here basically my whole life, my parents first brought me as a baby and it has been my family's favorite Indian restaurant ever since. No other Indian restaurants quite match up. We love their lunch buffet, especially for Sunday brunch at 11:30. ;) Love their chai, best I've ever had.
I have eaten here for over 30 years now. Bar none, the best Indian food restaurant in DFW.

Took my wife for her birthday and ad usual we had a good meal and good service, just do me a favor, don't be a food snob and wine does not go with curry, beer or hot tea , and if this is your first time, a curry virgin , ask about the heat!

The best Indian food I have found in Texas. I have taken several family and friends here and they've all loved it. I have been here on several occasions and have always enjoyed everything that I've tasted. Highly recommended.
