Every time we visit Arcata we .make several stops to this heavenly cafe. Amazing pastries and desserts, a few gluten free. Great coffee. Wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner. And. There always seemed to be a rose on the wine list! C'est magnifique!

Come here often, by far the best coffee in the tri city area. There may be another hidden gem of a coffee shop elsewhere in Humboldt but I've yet to find it.

My husband and I visited Cafe Brio at the end of August! Our Airbnb host actually recommended it as a place to get coffee. I don’t think that I would personally call Cafe Brio a coffee shop. I definitely consider it more as a restaurant! My husband got a mocha and he said it was okay. I got a latte with a seasonal, rose syrup. It had too much syrup for my personal preference. I thought that it was over-powering the taste of the espresso! I had also ordered quiche to-go. I think that if we would have dined it I may have had a better experience. I thought the location was great and that it had great seating options - inside and out! The staff were nice but I wouldn’t say they were friendly and welcoming. Overall, I would still give this cafe a 5 stars. If we decide to go back we may dine in and have more of a brunch! I just remembered my husband got a sort of double chocolate cookie and it was amazing!! I would definitely give their baked goods a try!

There's a local cafe near the main square that's quite popular among the locals. The food they serve is simple, fresh, and delicious. It's worth noting that they don't offer table service, so customers are expected to clean up their tables after they finish their meals.

The best coffee in town, and they greet you with a big smile. I can always trust that the espresso won’t be burnt etc. Everyone is kind, fast, and consistent. I love the variety of pastries, getting to try something new every time I visit is so fun. They have great vegan options as well, very refreshing! You are definitely paying for quality and it’s worth it.

SUCH a delicious cafe. Outstanding pastries - I cannot recommend the chocolate croissant heated up more highly. Also the lattes are lovely, including their chai which is a local blend.

Such a lovely cafe in the city of Arcata. The pastries are good and so is the coffee. Whether you eat inside or outside, you get a lovely dining experience.

Absolutely love this place!! It's so hard to find good bread and this place definitely has legit bread and pastries. It's so good! Their lattes are amazing!

This is my absolute favorite cafe. I feel like I’m on a mini vacation whenever I get a latte and pastry from here. The pastries are top notch (I dream about their danishes). Whoever makes their pastry dough deserves some major awards. The lattes are creamy and smooth. Being from Seattle, I have a hard time finding a new favorite coffee spot and this cafe is tied for #1. Keep doing what you’re doing, Brio. You’re a winner. (P.S. if you ever wanted to host a pastry-making class, sign me up!)

We stopped in for breakfast and this place is wonderful. The food, the service, the patio … it’s all part of the fun. My ideal breakfast is a croissant and coffee, so when I saw their options I had to try both a ham & cheese AND an almond croissant. I can’t tell you which one is better, but I can tell you they were both great. My gf had the market quiche and it was excellent too. They also serve lunch, a different menu for Sunday brunch, and you can buy their bread by the loaf / baguette.

Yum yum and yum! I tried the chocolate croissant, it’s to die for! Cafe Brio is an open space, lots of room to socialize both indoors and out on their patio. They are located right off the main plaza in Arcata, a super convenient spot to be located at. Contactless menus and paying is available at this location. The service was very friendly, with smiling faces greeting you at the counter wishing you a good morning. Overall, I highly recommend this breakfast spot if you’re staying in Arcata!
