Probably the very best linguini with clams I’ve ever had in my life. Spot on. Also, the fillet mignon was fantastic.
Service was the right combination of casual Humboldt-meets Nice restaurant: making an effort, but still keeping it real.
The atmosphere was warm and lively and mostly local clientele (visited in the winter, so the off-season). The basement setting added to a sense of intimacy in the fairly large establishment.
Highly recommend.

My favorite restaurant in Arcata. This is a must stop for us whenever we visit there. Always fabulous food and friendly staff. You must try the appetizer ravioli it is out of this world. They also do a great job with lamb. But my favorite is carbonara

Delicious. Although my Initial order was for pasta with marinara ...that night I was told they ran out.. definitely odd for an Italian restaurant. The food I did wind up ordering was very tasty.

If you're interested in something above your typical Italian menu, Abruzzi is a wonderful choice. Every item on the menu is prepared and displayed with care. The atmosphere is that of a classy restaurant, but without the need for a suit and tie. The staff is an absolute pleasure and take care of things without issue. The duck is wonderful, as are most of the dishes on the menu (haven't experienced a bad dish yet). The warm olive appetizer was, however, something of a curiosity and disappointment. We were expecting something a bit out of the ordinary, but instead were treated to a very small portion of green olives just kind of lumped in a small bowl with a bit of warm oil to dress them. I'm still wondering why it's a paid item on the menu, as I would have expected something like that to come as a side garnish or free item. It seriously has me scratching my head wondering why it's on the menu, and why they charge so much for seemingly so little (I'll have to ask the next time I go). I bring it up because it stands out as an oddity, since most all the other appetizers and dishes are full portions and displayed carefully (even the kid's menu items), but the olives are just a few small olives in warm oil lumped in a small bowl. Olives aside, Abruzzi is an absolute treat and every enjoyable.

Food was fresh and delicious! My fiance and I stopped here for a quick bite during our stay in Arcata. Cozy atmosphere and great service. Would certainly recommend and we would definitely return. Their Brussel sprout panceta appetizer was out of this world. Great place.

Our favorite place to go when we're in Arcata. Excellent food and they treat you like you're their family. I had the carbonara and it was perfect also you must try the goat cheese stuffed ravioli on the appetizer menu it's the best thing you could put in your mouth. Looking forward to our next visit there

Really enjoyed sitting at the bar for happy hour and getting to know Shayla and the staff. Oysters, steamers, wonderful wines and so happy Abruzzi's still has their unbelievable sweet pea agnolotti on the menu! My fav! This spot is a "go to" for us for the past 12 years! 💜💙💚💛

Abruzzi has catered several of our company Christmas parties over the years. They have always been an incredibly wonderful event as the food is delicious, staff is friendly and efficient and Lauren makes sure everything is handled, right down to the smallest detail. Their service can be slow on a Friday night when they're packed, but the food is great every time and we love the atmosphere. For dessert, I love the chocolate paradiso with vanilla ice cream and coffee poured over it!

Food is superb. Classic Italian comfort and elegant. Cocktails invented by the friendly and knowable bartenders are some of the best. Smoke Street was the current invention, with smoked rosemary and scotch.

Abruzzi catered a fabulous dinner for the sons of Italy Eureka Lodge. The members of the Italian club applauded the staff of Abruzzi for a great meal. The sons of Italy very much approve the food served at Abruzzi as excellent Italian food.

I hadn't been impressed at all when I tried them twice a few years ago...but when I went a week ago, WOW. huge difference and I can't wait to go back. Prawns alla diavola are amazing, the duck entree was spectacular, and the tomato basil soup is to die for. Great pairings with the duck, I stuffed myself and wanted more despite the healthy portions. Excellent food and will be back asap.

My husband and I went for our anniversary for our first time together. The service was amazing, the atmosphere was so romantic, everyone was so helpful, and the food was to die for!! I had never been in before, so last week was the first time ever. I was so impressed. I've tried a lot of Italian restaurants, and this had to be the best I've ever had.
