Orchid Thai Cuisine

My husband and I went for take out shortly after their grand open. We placed a phone order and picked up. They were having difficulties taking payment. It seemed as if they were not quite prepared. They didnt have any customers, we were the only ones in there. The food was pretty good. My husband liked it a lot but I felt that the food could have had been a bit more flavorful. The restaurant itself did not seem brand new in my opinion. The floor was dirty and the tiling was cracked.

I ordered takeout here. It’s hard to find parking during dinner time at this plaza. So when I arrived, I parked on the curb, and turned on my emergency lights, while running into the restaurant. When I entered, the place was empty, no one was in the front counter. I saw a guy in the kitchen cooking. I can see my order on the other side of the counter. After a few minutes, I finally got his attention...it looks like he’s running a one man show here. This place used to be great, what happened? The food is still delicious though 😋

My daughter and I went to eat lunch, and had the utmost most horrible experience. The food was great and all, until the fried chicken wings came up. At first, we were enjoying the wings, but noticed there was an ammonia smell from the wings, to which we asked the servers to help us understand the situation instead of immediately exploding at the fact that there was this odd smell in something we had already eaten. The first waitress was kind enough to come up and ask us to wait as she made sure what was happening and even apologized. The only male waiter at the time came by again as she was checking up on the situation only to make the situation worse. He asked if everything was alright, and I said no, there is an odd smell coming from the chicken. Rather than reacting like the other waitress he says "okay what do you want me to do?" I reply I just want to know if there's a reasoning such as the cooking method or something that could justify this rather than being unreasonable. Instead, he grabs the plate in an impatient manner and says " I don't know I'm a server I can't do anything about it I'll cancel it" in the most rude manner possible. Normally, I wouldn't be so annoyed and call the manager, but I couldn't understand why he was acting in such a manner. The manager informed me that it had to do with the way they coat the wings beforehand, which I accepted. Yet as I was leaving, the waiter decided it was a good idea to look at me with a taunting face as if my complaint would do nothing at all, which caused me to complain to him about his bad service. To which he returned with mocking jestering actions and him directly making fun of me. I don't understand how a simple question to a weird smell in the food would allow him to think that making fun of a customer is in any way justified.
