I couldn't have been happier. The best ribs, smoked turkey was moist and flavorful, generous portions, good prices and friendly staff. Everything was delicious. You instantly feel at home.
I live 90 minutes away and worth the drive. Best ribs anywhere.
So happy that they added fried okra as a side or appetizer.
The sauce, uncomplicated and amazing. Dip EVERYTHING in it, but you don't need to because it's all delish with or without.

So I will say I am not a big barbecue person but my partner Love's BBQ and we we travel from the Orlando area down to West Palm and to Tampa a lot and I have seen this restaurant a few times. Realistically there's not a lot of food options on the routes that we go so we decided the other day to stop at this restaurant and I will say it was a great experience. There's both booth seating and tables. When you first come in there's probably like 10 areas to sit and then you go around the corner and there is more seating. The lady that sat us was really nice and the pricing is perfect. The sweet tea is really good and the staff was on it. We went during the day and it was there were consistent customers coming in the whole time. I got spare ribs and brisket with coleslaw and mac and cheese. I liked everything except the mac and cheese was a little gritty. It was good but not my favorite but definitely better than Kraft mac and cheese. It was enough food with that I had at least another meal of leftovers. The key lime pie is really good and I would recommend this place and it's definitely in our rotation for when we travel there.

Have dined in as well as ordered take out and in the 20+ years that I have been a patron of Slim's, I have never been dissatisfied. Exceptional BBQ, amazing service, and a very pleasant atmosphere, all at a great price. If recommend Slim's all day, every day.
wow! real food! I haven't had anything that Is fresh in years. It's 40 plus miles from my house. And I considered going back today and I already ate there today. Thanks again I'll definitely be back.

We met friends for lunch at Slim's and could tell it was a local favorite. They would not seat us until our entire party was there, which is understandable as the place filled quickly. But we were seated as soon as everyone arrived, so they were watching out for us. This is a locals restaurant, friendly and reasonably priced, which also happens to have some BBQ. They had sweet tea, no surprise, so I had that. Everyone else had water. Two of us ordered the Rib Special, $9.99, and we both had it with garlic bread and steak fries. They supply two BBQ sauces, mild and spicy, and I found the "spicy" was about medium. The ribs were great and both of us ate them all. The other friend had the Lite Fish Special, $9.99, and enjoyed it. My wife had the Key West Style Sandwich Basket with chicken, $9.99, and also enjoyed it. Both of these came with the Key West sauce, which worked really well on fries. They had some nice desserts, but none of us had room to try them. All of us would come back anytime, the food was great and the service was solid.
Excellent service and food was fresh and so tasty. A rare find. Will go back here. They take care with their food and customers.

Visiting Arcadia from Tampa, for work and I had no idea what to expect in the way of food. Slims is located in a super convenient area in town, close to my hotel, and the job site. So right away, they were winning. I walked into the restaurant and was greeted by a lovely host who sat me down at my table. The waitress came over and she was a doll. Took my order, talked me up a bit. I was hooked by her wonderful personality. I ordered my food and waited. I waited no more than 10-15 mins for the food and when it finally arrived I was excited to dig in. I ordered Blackened mahi, bbq ribs, mac and cheese and some baked beans. Then the moment of truth, my first bite. For a small southern restaurant In Florida, the mahi mahi was really good, I do wish the proportions of it were larger so I could enjoy it more. However, the star of the show really was the half rack of ribs. Honestly they were fall off the bone and in my opinion some of the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life and that is coming from someone who lived in Tennessee for a while. I will be coming here again and I will be telling more people about this place! Thank you for your Wonderful service and for your wonderful food. 10/10
Absolutely superblocal style BBQ. Everything is super fresh and clearly homemade right here on the premises. They've been in business for over 62 years and it shows. The customer service wasexcellent as well. We felt right at home. They gave us great recommendations and all of them were successful. Every time we pass through this area we will come back!
