I have never had a bad meal at The Outermost Inn. My husband and I live on the island and The Outermost Inn is our favorite restaurant. I commend the staff for doing so much with less help. People who visit the island have no idea how difficult it is the find employees this year. Kudos to the staff!!!!!

We've been visiting the Outermost Inn for many years, and it is our favorite restaurant and location to eat on the island. It's a scenic drive up island and the sunsets are always amazing. Typically the high cost of the dinner is justified by the high quality food and service, but there was a noticeable drop in both this year. Our server, was adequate, but he seemed like he only had the energy to do the bare minimum. The food, while good, was not up to the typical high standards that you'd expect from the Outermost. At this price, the meal should be memorable, not just something you could get at other restaurants in Edgartown. This location is special and the experience should be too. Maybe the change in chef or adding a few more tables has had a slight impact on quality? We'll be back next year for another try :-)

We’ve been going to the Outermost Inn since it opened. We used to stay when it was an inn and have celebrated almost every one of our anniversaries there. Our dinner this year was maybe the best we’ve ever had. Every bite of food was absolutely delicious and the service was lovely.

Exceptional food and location! Perfect for a special night out! It's like they had a Hollywood set designer come in and create the most perfect summer dining experience, then created a menu to match the ambiance. Bravo! Try and get seated so you are there during sunset, and get there early to enjoy and drink and the oysters by the fire.

I’m a chef and I absolutely love trying new places anywhere I go. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon in late October and they were open for lunch. We spent time in Manhattan eating and Michelin star places as well as Boston and all over Martha’s Vineyard. This was straight up the best meal I’ve ever had. We went Thursday October 22, whoever was cooking that day is cooking perfect food. I was blown away and that doesn’t happen often, my wife went to the bathroom and I was staring at the leftover sauces and liquids at the bottom of our plates literally licking them up. I was blown away!

We most definitely loved our meal and the spectacular views of the property during our evening meal. We got to view 4 deer yards away in the meadow below our table and hawk on it's nest with chicks inside

We just love this place, it’s at its best when you can sit outside and enjoy the view. I know I’m in the presence of greatness when I can eat things I don’t like and they are delicious. Loved the tomato and watermelon, sea bass, scallops, salted caramel chocolate.

Repeat visitor. If you're willing to make the journey, it's one of the better dining experiences on the island. Leave time to enjoy the grounds, view, sunset, and fire pit.
Tips: the gray days bring some of the most spectacular sunsets; wear layers - it can be cold.

My friend and I had a truly magical evening dining at the Outermost Inn. He had crispy duck, while I enjoyed seared tuna. There were two sauces with the tuna which were divine separately and blended. The desserts were incredible. The owner came to our table and shared how the pastry chef joined the restaurant. The photos tell the story of our delicious meal and the beautiful view from our table. We even watched a deer graze in the waning hours of sunlight, before the sun sank below the hills. A memory I will always treasure.
