Wow! It's wonderful to have such a great, classy, delicious restaurant here in Aptos. I would say this is the finest restaurant in Santa Cruz county and we have eaten at them all. Erin, Alex and Chef made us feel very welcomed. You have to try the persimmon salad then follow w with the crab ravioli. Just perfect. Coupled w a wonderful Nebbiolo, you are set. Oh, even though I'm not a dessert person, the apple finale w the lava salt is worth every bite! Thanks Chef Cori for taking us to a new level of fine dining here in Aptos !
A little bit of the Hamptons right here at home. Delicious from start to end, unique flavors and excellent service. The wine list also featured wines from outside California! It was a wonderful surprise. We'll be back!
Fine dining and Santa Cruz don't usual go hand in hand, but Persephone might just change that. Saying the food was amazing is an understatement. Loved the food, loved the service, looking forward to going back.
Each plate was made at the restaurant by the chef-owners, absolutely fresh and a taste explosion. The “Beet Cured Gravlax
Fresh wild King salmon filet, beet cured, thinly sliced and served with favetta, soft boiled quail egg, scallions, big sur sea salt, and Wild Poppies olive oil. (Salmon served raw)” was amazing and I took on to go after lunch. The outside seating is lovely, great ventilation and so much greenery and flowers. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and appreciated the wonderful service by Tony! Thank you!
Amazing experience! Great staff, fantastic food (chicken and cheese homemade raviolis served with mushrooms and an artichoke cream + pana cotta blueberries & peach!)
We’ll come back for sure ! Thanks
The food was fantastic. The atmosphere is crisp, clean, and refreshing. Highly recommended!
I have been here several times and never a single time I was let down. I usually order the 3 course menu ($60) including appetizer, pasta, and an entree. Yes the portion is smaller than a la carte, but neither my partner nor I felt we needed to order more. The Chef is also good at making soup. It’s so good I was seriously considering order a regular bowl.
Wine by glass is quite pricey, usually between $12-15/glass. We decided to go with a bottle that fits within the budget we are more comfortable with.
It’s a family owned restaurant so maybe that’s why it feels even more homier. The paintings on the walls were painted by the mother of the chef. It does get busy on the weekends. It’ll make the whole dining experience even better if they can reduce the number of tables in the restaurant. Our table was really close to other tables it reminded me of my dining experience in Paris.
