The best Indian food in Appleton or Green Bay hands down. Haven’t had a bad dish yet. Favorites are butter chicken, palaak paneer and the samosas. Mango lassi is fantastic as well. Hope the lunch buffet comes back eventually.
Enjoyed eating here, short staffed (1 person running it all) but they worked hard to make sure everyone is taken care of. The food was great, perfect flavor and the bread was amazing. Perfectly baked with a crispy edge and moist middle! I will definitely be coming back here when I'm in the area again.
This was one of the best places I’ve had in the area since moving here! Definitely the best Indian food I’ve ever had. There wasn’t a buffet but we made our own with a family style order. The mango juice and mango milkshakes were freshly made! You can hear them making the mango juice! The butter chicken, rice, and naan were my favorite but there were zero complaints from my family about everything we got. Can’t wait to go back!
The best. Great food, relatively short wait time, and a glass table for my messy self. Cheap enough that I'm surprised how good the food was.
The only issue was the other patrons, who sat right next to us in an otherwise empty restaurant (we came like half an hour after it opened, before typical dinner times, as I'm sure this place would fill up otherwise). Not cool, but they were old and probably didn't realize how horrible it was for my antisocial self.
All in all, 5 stars. Couldn't go wrong. The food was great, but if you want spicy choose spicy, as their medium isn't too hot.
I had the vegetable samosas, malai kofta, a side of parathas, and gulab jamun. Samosas were huge, crispy and well flavored. Malai kofta was incredible, couldn’t stop eating it. Decent portion, rice was surprisingly fluffy, and delicious koftas. Parathas were very flaky and good. Medium spice level is not very spicy (less than sriracha) so I recommend hot if you want it spicy. Gulab jamun had a strong butter/ghee/milky flavor that I was not expecting, but delicious nonetheless. It was also served hot, which would probably be better in the winter, but still worth it. Highly recommend!
OMG!! For such a small place and only one employee that we saw working, the food was absolutely incredible!! It was hot and exactly how we ordered it spiciness wise. If I lived in Appleton I would be a regular here for sure!!
Great food. I'm from Chicago area with lots of good Indian restaurants. India Darbar is as good as some of the best, if not better than most. The Chicken 65 is different compare to some I've had. I actually like the one from India Dunbar a lot. Like the sauce and the perfect level of heat and taste.
Seems like more of a take out place and they were busy with take out, but we ate in and the service was still great. Haven’t had Indian food a lot in life but it was amazing and I would highly recommend!
