I cannot rave enough about this place. It's become a ritual for my Aunt and I when she comes home for a visit... We order an appetizer, each order an entrée (always try to do something new/special) and then split it and then share dessert. We have tried probably everything on the menu and we always joke that one time we may find a meal that isn't THAT good! :) My all-time favorite was their Smoked Chicken Ricotta Ravioli in their Parmesan Cream sauce... I just about died and went to heaven. And can I mention their s'mores crème brulee? 100 stars for this place. Their staff is also outstanding!
I've never much ventured out of my comfort zone in food. I'm used to commercial fastfood-esk experiences. But my date insisted that I try this place. A bit weary in the parking lot at first, we made our way in. The moment you cross that threshold the entire outside world disappears. I mean yes, part of that was my date lol. But the staff were so friendly and warm. And the food OMG it was AMAZING. Pardon the remark but I had a major foodgasim over this food! I highly recommend this place to anybody and everybody. Awesome service, great food and the atmosphere is breathtaking. Thank you Carmella's staff!!!! Stay amazing!!!!
Growing up in an Italian Family, it is hard to compare Italian Restaurants and their authenticity to what I am used to; so with that being said, I would say this restaurant is OK. The food isn't anything super exceptional when it comes to authentic Italian cuisine . . .
My mom had the Ravioli, grandma had the linguine with chicken and red sauce, and I tried the Fusilli with shrimp and a light, white wine sauce.
I would say the prices are a little on the high side and to have table bread is an extra $3. We tried the Creme Brulee & Gelato for dessert and both were really good!
A couple things to add for management would be that the lighting was really dim in the evening - almost too dark to even read the menu - and the menu print is too small. There was also a cold draft - almost like the air conditioning was on - and it was cold outside; so that made it not so comfortable.
Our server was very knowledgable of the menu and really friendly!
Overall - 4 stars!
Jasmine offered incredible service and our food was absolutely delicious. My new favorite spot in Appleton! Can't wait to come back and try some of the desserts next time 😁
Ive only been here a handful of times. Im never disappointed when I come. The food is fresh and from scratch. Love it.
I’ve been in Appleton, WI all week and this was the best dinner hands down. A bit on the costly side, but totally worth spending the companies money on a thank me dinner. Tiramisu to go; and it was delicious. Great job!!
Great food and service, atmosphere is very nice also, menu is fair for pricing. The area needs more restaurants like this one, it's a great restaurant and has a wide variety of options on their menu.
Could not have been more impressed! Amazing atmosphere and service (one of the most helpful servers I have ever had at a restaurant), but the food was out of this world. Hands down the BEST food I have ever had... My wife and I went last Friday night. She ordered the chicken marsala which was cooked to perfection and the flavors were amazing. I ordered their special for the night which was a pork chop with a side of pasta in a white wine garlic sauce, and I am STILL thinking about how good that pork chop was! I couldn't recommend Carmella's more. My only regret is we forgot to take pictures 😂
Staff was so friendly and inviting! Food was amazing! Can't wait to eat here again!
First time ever eating at Carmella’s and I must say, it was truly the BEST! Brian was our server and he did such an amazing job. He was knowledgeable, and did a great job spacing out everything that we didn’t feel rushed at all. Would 110% recommend to anyone who wants real, refreshing food and the best service in the area!
