I found out that I needed a cake within 3 days and called Sweet Cheeks Bakery. Most places need a week's notice for custom cakes. I had an order for a custom sheet cake placed within an hour. It was beautiful. I designed the cake and sent an image to the bakery via email. This was the first time that I had ordered from there and it was OUTSTANDING! The cake was beautiful AND delicious. I will definitely be ordering from Sweet Cheek's again. I can't wait to try some different types of cakes.

These are the best cakes we have ever tasted!!! My personal favorite is the red velvet but every cake we've purchased from Sweet Cheeks has been excellent. We recently used them for my grandfathers birthday party and everyone at the party complimented on how good all the cakes were. Can't wait to find another reason to have some more of there cake!!! They are very reasonanbly priced and Jackie is one of the nicest people you will meet and very flexible!!! We HIGHLY recommend Sweet Cheeks Bakery!!!!

We've stopped by Sweet Cheeks several times over the past year or so to indulge in their pound cakes and more recently doughnuts. When it was time to order a black forest cake for a birthday party, I had no hesitation in ordering it from them. To say the least, it was incredible - the best we've ever had. The cake was moist, the icing was gently sweet (which we very much appreciated!). Moreover, the service is always excellent, and it was no different with the custom cake. If you don't live in Apex/Holly Springs, make the drive. You will be thankful!

If you want a cake like your Grandma made without all the mess, go to Sweet Cheeks Bakery! Best cakes around and the nicest people you'll ever meet! You can also stop by for a single slice anytime your sweet tooth is nagging you. Let Jackie and her family take care of your baking needs - cakes, pies, cupcakes and cookies!

I use to frequent a bakery in cary, but found this online and decided to give it a try. They did not disappoint at all!! I had the turtle pie and sweet potato cake and both were fabulous!! The cake was so moist and the pie was very decadent!! I will now be coming here instead of the other bakery for my sweet needs!!! The worker/owner was also very nice!!

Local Bakery in Apex: Busy thinking about where to get cupcakes, for my daughter's birthday, to send to school the next day, I was driving by on Williams St (Hwy 55) and I chanced upon this bakery, Sweet Cheeks Bakery. I had never seen it before. It is in a small strip next to BB&T bank on Hwy 55. I walked in and asked the sweet lady, if she can bake me a batch of 30 cupcakes in the next 3 hours. She asked me to come back at 7 30. I walked in at 7 45 and the cakes were beautifully packed and ready. The next day, everyone in school just ed the cakes. All her teachers asked my child where she got those cupcakes. What I loved even more was what the lady told me when I picked the cakes...she told me that there was no need to refrigerate the cakes as they are made with real butter. I managed to get a taste of them the next day when my daughter came back with 1 leftover cake. Indeed, it was divine. I ll definitely recommend this bakery for fresh and yumtastic cakes. Another beautiful thing is the care with which she wrapped each cake in the butter paper and secured them snug in the cupcake box so the cakes did not have a chance to topple. 5 Stars

Full disclosure: I did not get a cake made here (but not for want of trying!).  I reached out a week and half before my event to get a small/medium sized cake made.  Simple, no writing, just plain vanilla with vanilla frosting (and maybe some decorative flowers on top if she had them), and literally any budget was fine.  I wanted to make it as easy on the baker as possible.  I sent a detailed email with all the necessary information and a few sample photos, and followed up with a phone call to make sure the turnaround wasn't going to be too quick.  It rang and rang, but it eventually went to voicemail and I left a message letting her know that all the info was in the already received email, but I just wanted to confirm the turnaround time.  Then I waited a few days, hadn't heard anything, so I called again.  I didn't leave a message as I didn't want to seem like a bother as I presumed she was working on it.  Waited a few MORE days, still hadn't heard back, so I was getting anxious; could I depend on this cake being ready in time for the event when I hadn't even gotten confirmation on the timeline yet?  I double-checked the email address on her site with the one I'd sent (it was correct), so I called again (now just a few days before the event).  Again, it went to voicemail. I didn't want to seem like a bother, but now it was only a couple days until the event, and if the baker had not started on it yet, I wasn't going to have enough time to find someone else to make one...  In her voicemail she references both leaving a VM or texting her as a great way to get in contact with her.  I would normally never text a vendor, but I was getting desperate to get a response, ANY response at this point.  At least if I knew she couldn't do it, I'd maybe have time to figure something else out...  It was the night before the event, and I STILL had not heard anything via phone, text, or email.  At this point I had to throw in the towel and just got a variety of store-bought cookies (obviously not as nice as a lovely two-tiered cake covered in flowers). I understand people getting busy, or maybe being in over their head on orders, but please at least have the decency to let me know so I do not depend on you/your product.  If the baker is on vacation, then let your clients know that (out of office message, note on your answering machine, post it to your website, etc.).  It is now several days after the event, and I've still not heard anything...

We took our boys today for cake. We each picked a different flavor and each one was amazing. My favorite was the strawberry however the Italian cream and the caramel cake were delicious also. We will definitely be back and bringing any out of town guests.
