Poke Shack

First off the negative reviewers don't know jack about Poke. Their comments are complete nonsense and in no way reflect the experience at Poke Shack. I've had Poke bowls in San Diego, downtown Seattle, San Francisco, and Hawaii. Poke Shack provides authentic poke bowls which by the way originates from Hawaii - not Asia. The portions are more than fair and the sashimi is very fresh and flavorful. I could be wrong but I believe the sauce I chose was called volcano sauce or something close to that. They suggested it after I asked for spicy mayo. This was so much better than spicy mayo. Best poke sauce I've tasted. As far as service goes the ladies there were young but very attentive. Excellent service. We had a great time there thanks to them. The ambiance there reflects the Hawaiian origination of poke which I very much appreciated. I've not experienced that in the other locations I've mentioned (except of course Hawaii).

This place has great potential. I love sushi but wasn't exactly to sure what to put in my poke bowl. I ended up putting too much in it. I think it would be better if they put a little Japanese twist on it. Add sushi to the menu. Maybe octopus and kimchi? The Pokemon font throws it off a bit too. How about "Poke & Sushi". It might bring in more people.
