To Sok Jip - Annandale - Photo album

My husband and I frequent this restaurant for their casseroles so we were really sad when their old location was damaged and closed down. Really happy they were able to open a new location and the food is still great as usual. We typically get the kimchi casserole and it’s enough for us to have left
If you want decent Korean food, this is the place! I’ve been looking for places that make authentic traditional dishes (not the new fusion restaurants), and a friend recommended Tosokjib. I tried the Galchi gui and doenjang jigae. Both were delicious and the banchan was good too.
First time at the new location. Fantastic! They managed to upgrade the space without sacrificing the “hole-in-the-wall” charm! We had Galchi Gui and it was fabulous!! The golden crisp skin is amazing! And the seafood pancake might be the best one I’ve ever had! Loaded with choice bits of squid,
I love the food here. My friends and I come here to celebrate special occasions. The food is delicious. This is a smaller dining establishment and doesn't have a lot of tables but it is definitely worth the wait if there is one. We Always enjoy the side dishes and the pa jeon. Our favorite is defini
Great little, Korean restaurant for broiled fish, braised fish, steamed/boiled pork belly stinky soup and hand cut noodles . Edit to update on the new location. This is still a hole in the wall but a different location with more space. The food is excellent but expect the usual rude / fake nice
Between LA, NYC, Korea and Annandale, Tosokjib has the BEST kimchi jjigae. They don't water it down if you're not Korean. Their kimchi in and out of the soup's amazing. Whenever I'm feeling down, sick or need GOOD homecooked food, I go here for the kimchi jjigae. No where else makes it like they do.
First random date night since the start of the pandemic and To Sok Jip did not disappoint! The Bossam was so tender and melt in your mouth and the Seafood and Green Onion Pancake was savory and perfect. The banchan (the small dishes that come with your meal) were tasty and well prepared! The Bossam
New location great food. I was happy and full
Love the new location and food is still great. Lunch specials is a steal for sure. Pro tip: let's just set the record straight, service is close to non existing here during lunch hours, but you can tell they are trying, so don't get frustrated .
If you are looking for authentic Korean cuisine in the National Capital Region, To Sok Jip is where you want to go. It's like going to your Korean grandmother's house for a meal. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and told to choose a table...there were only two left to choose from on a Frida
Came here for lunch yesterday. Parking lot is small they share it with a ton of other restaurants on the block so I parked at the Giant. The restaurant is very small maybe 10 tables max. The menu is in Korean with some English translation. Everything we had was very good and hot. Food came out fairl
The new location is a big step up from the old place. There more room for tables, and better parking as well. The food is still as good as always, so overall I'm glad to see Tosokjib is back !
Your go to reliable mom and pop restaurant in the area. The jeongols (stew) can feed a lot of mouths! The haemul jeon (seafood pancake) is super loaded with seafood as well. The food won’t necessarily blow your mind but it’ll feel like coming home to grandmas kitchen.
