I think 4 stars is apt for this establishment. Delicious chicken no doubt, that batter is incredible. Definitely go for the soy garlic or spicy both are tasty. The kimchi on the fries was delicious as well. Now for the cons. The chicken isn't mind blowing but the flavors are great, that spicy chicken is great but feels tamed down, could be the gochujang they use. The kimchi too had that great fermenty flavor but no spice or perhaps it's drowned by the cheese and other ingredients. Overall, I'd probably go again and I enjoyed my first experience there. 4 stars!

Until today, I had nothing bad to say
about this place. Sure, the manager is a
little "all business, no smile" at times, but
the food is pretty good!
Well, after today I am never again
patronizing Seoul Street. I placed my
order over the phone and was told to
wait the usual 45 minutes before coming
in to pick up the wings. This is standard
procedure, so I wasn't surprised. Well,
upon arriving I was confronted by the
manager and he let me know that he had
"not started" my wings because
apparently I had forgotten to pick up my
small, personal order of 4 thighs
(approximately $12) a week ago.
FOOTNOTE: Immediately upon hearing
this I remembered that I had, indeed,
ordered and forgotten BUT I never
received a phone call letting me know
that my wings were done either! Had I
received a call, I would have immediately
come to pick up my product.
Well, after kindly letting the manager
know that I had not received a call and
also reminding him that I am a repeat
customer, he looked at me and
reiterated that he had not begun cooking
the wings that I had already waited
nearly an hour for. While this ONE
STRIKE POLICY would've surely infuriated
anyone else, I calmly explained the
logical fallacy behind his poor business
method/punishment and left the
establishment.
Apparently Seoul Street is doing well
enough financially to both burn bridges
with loyal, repeat customers (without
giving them a chance to make up for
their small mistakes) and give unfriendly,
unsmiling service. Now that I look at it,
I'm surprised this place has made it so
long in the friendly city of Ann Arbor.
Oh well, my body will probably thank me
for ceasing the ingestion of their no-
doubt MSG-laden chicken product.
Thanks for that, Seoul Street.

Seoul street is a small, no-frills spot that offers some “traditional” Korean food like kimchi fried rice as well as more fusion dishes like kimchi fries.
Pros: the food is fantastic, the prices are affordable, and it’s in a great location for people living on north campus
Cons: the elephant in the room— the person who I believe is the owner is rude. He’s not friendly and he doesn’t seem to really care about the customer. HOWEVER, The interaction you have with him is very short, and the food is just so delicious that I don’t mind a minimal, unpleasant interaction. He’s not even usually the person at the register oftentimes.
My recs: Korean fried chicken (soy garlic and spicy are both good, spicy is very spicy!) and the kimchi fries (I’ve had kimchi fries in various places across the country and none have compared to the kimchi fries here)
Pro tip: order way way ahead and order online for pick u. They’re not the most responsive over the phone.

The chicken is so delicious, one of our favorite spots in town! Our favorite is the half & half Medium Combo with thighs and wings. Both of the sauces are incredible. Wish there were more options for sides!

Some of the best Korean fried chicken I've ever had and I've had had it in various K-towns across the country.
The chicken is juicy and the batter is shatteringly crispy and well-seasoned. I would opt for soy garlic or spicy (do NOT get the plain unless you plan to sauce/season it yourself).
The wait times are long as these are cooked from scratch so be aware (wings are probably 20-30 min while breast, thighs or drumsticks are closer to 40 min waits). Definitely better as a takeout spot.

Bad bad service. I could copy and paste a one star review I see now from 10 months ago. The door is still broke and the owner/cook is still ultra angsty. We tried to open the door (super tough and broke) and he literally screamed “PULL” at us. They do not pick up the phone at all. The food was not nearly good enough to outweigh the dirty kitchen and angry staff.

The best fried chicken I've ever had, both sauces are great but the hot is a must, the dumplings are great too. There's a wait on the chicken from 15-30 minutes but it's made to order and more than well worth the wait. The prices are great for the quality of what you're getting. Will definitely be going back

An interesting twist on normal fried chicken. Ordered the medium combo with wings and chicken legs in half and half sauce, and the corn salad side.
The chicken was hot, and super crispy!! The pieces were coated in just the right amount of sauce and not dredged in it. Though I felt the hot sauce was a little more spicy than I could handle.
The side wasn't a salad at all, just sweet corn from a can packed in a disposable. Nonetheless it went with the chicken well.
2 stars less because despite the food being great, there is definitely room for improvement.
1. The wait was too long. If the server had informed us before we placed our order we might have reconsidered.
2. There is limited seating and the restaurant needs to improve on the cleanliness to encourage more patrons to dine in.
