The restaurant was busy, but staff worked so well to keep things running smoothly! The food was beautiful and delicious! One of my favorite sushi spots and one of my favorite places in downtown A2. I included a picture of the lovely green salad I ordered

Loved our meal: Miso Soup, Vegetable Gyoza, Edamame (not salted enough), Hell Yeah roll (spicy with sweet drizzle and topped with crunchy bits), and a Spicy Tuna roll with avocado. Felt like a dorm room cafeteria--crowded and full of students, but it was delicious!

Really cool spot near University Of Michigan Ann Arbor campus... Fans of Miyazaki will love the theming, but the food is just as delicious! They had some really amazing Dons and the signature Totoro Tower didn't disappoint as a savory delicious option! If you like sushi this restaurant is highly recommended! Very affordable too even with the killer quality, I've paid twice as much at other establishments and it's wasn't as good! If you're in the area this is a must stop!

I came here expecting a hole in the wall sushi restaurant with average sushi and was so glad to be wrong. What I instead found was a themed restaurant that would turn out to be an excellent dining experience. As a fan of Studio Ghibli films, it was nice to see a two mediums that I love, cooking and anime, come together. I ordered an oishii roll, my partner ordered a salmon skin roll, we split a tuna tower with and an order of takoyaki. One of the first things that I noticed about them is that they have really good plating for sushi, orchids were a very good choice to bring out a pop of color. The texture and flavor of the takoyaki was impressive, where often times people overcook them, the cooks at Totoro nailed it each time I ordered it, the subtle crunch before getting to the soft center made the takoyaki to die for. Whenever I order sushi I have to try at least one piece of sashimi, so I had the fatty tuna. The flavor was excellent and the cut was generous. While the dining room got a bit loud, it was hard for me to focus on anything but the food. I highly recommend eating here, even if you aren't familiar with My Neighbor Totoro or Studio Ghibli - Chef Whale

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The broth in the Totoro Spicy Noodles was absolutely divine and would highly recommend checking out if you are near. The sushi is big and flavorful as well.

Amazing sushi! So many different options for so many different tastes. Vegetarian options available. I had the OMG sushi and it was totally OMG worthy. The dumplings were great too! And good service as well.

Food is delicious. Sashimi/sushi crew are wonderful and friendly. Careful how much you order. They give you a lot of food. There is no beer and wine but there's no drop off in excited, happy diners,. It can be very noisy. Loved it!
