Steak 'n Shake

You know the food was great but the service is terrible. All of the tables are disgusting trash cans overflowing. We had to whip our own table down and we proceeded to help two other elderly couples clean there tables. They were beside themselves with how we have to clean our own tables. And there are plenty of people working in the back including the manager and none of them have even stepped out here to check anything and we've been here at least 30 minutes. This is the second time in a row I've come to this location and it's been like this. Also the food in the picture has been on the table behind me since before we came in. I'm disgusted to be honest. Also the workers are in the kitchen cussing and carrying on. I'm sitting in the the restaurant while typing this because I can't even believe this place. I will not be back.

I'm not sure what happened to Steak 'n Shake, but the recent uptick in pricing and the removal of several items off their menu has made it more difficult to enjoy this establishment. Our recent visit really made us aware of just how much this restaurant has changed. We ordered 2 kids meals and 2 regular menu meals, with addition of 2 bowls of chili, the total price came to $46. The removal of the kids mini corn dogs and chicken strips made it a bit trickier to find items that the entire family would want. My kids settled for a hot dog, but this is something I could've made at home for them instead of spending the money on hot dogs and fries. The whole point of going out to eat is to not cook at home that evening and have a (hopefully) decent meal on your night off. Unfortunately, this seems to be slipping, so the choice of restaurants will definitely change based on pricing and the menu changes. It also greatly depends on the time you go and who is working, so we've come to find out. There's a male employee there who embodies what customer service is all about and he deserves a raise or promotion of some sort. As far as the quality of food, it didn't exactly....excite the palate. Steak 'n Shake holds memories of my teenage years going out with friends and even a few times with my parents when they were still living, so it pains me to say that this establishment is failing in many ways. Others may enjoy the changes, although the pricing changes not so much, but that is an individual opinion to which differs for many, and in my opinion, I do not feel that S&S is providing the quality of food and service it once did.

Service was terrible. Food the worst I have ever had from steak n shake. Messed up mine and my son's order. The chocolate shake was more milk than anything. Fries cold as outside temp current day about 30 degrees. I can't believe I paid for food from this nasty place. Will not return ever I actually stopped at Burger King after we left to get food that was worth eating. I wish it would allow me to have a zero star rating.

Drive thru window. Kathy took my order. Helped me up size my order. High energy person, super positive attitude, and how much she enjoys her job working with people radiated from her beautiful smile and her caring attitude. She's a keeper. They don't make em like that these days. I believe I enjoyed my triple with cheese more because of the positive encounter , and vibrant and positive attitude I experienced at that window, than the excellent taste of my food. Thank you Kathy for helping me have such a wonderful lunch.

I am not giving the store itself a one star this needs to go up the chain because this store is not at fault its who they report to fault. Was told they got rid of the servers which servers were the ones who cleaned so now the place is gross, but got rid of the servers to save money but look how well that didn't work out now the place is a wreck. I'd say instead of getting rid of the servers let's lower the cost of the food in here. Sad sad sad to see what once was a great place to take my family go down hill so quickly.

I don’t generally review fast food as the quality and service are always on par and being nationwide and long established they have recipes and service already set. That being said I stopped at sSteak ‘n Shake on my return journey from vacation. I choose the restaurant because it was super hot and the have styrofoam cups which stay cold way longer than the average cup. I went through the drive thru do I can’t attest to service inside but if it was anything like the drive thru than this location is top notch. From the moment the order taker spoke you got the impression that you made their day by stopping in. She exuded genuine happiness to speak with you. It was like your mother welcoming you home. It wasn’t the fake pleasant platitudes that those who have worked in the service sector have mastered. She really made my day and perked me up. This genuine warmth carried over to the window for payment and pickup of my food. That gentleman had the same air of warmth as my order taker. You could honestly see that his smile was real as it extended to his eyes. I wish this location was closer to me than the hours away it is as I would frequent them a lot just for that welcoming feeling. My cashier according to the receipt was Kathy and she was just wonderful. I don’t know the name of the gentleman at the window but they are definitely this locations winning team. They made my day!!! Worth a stop in to get that warm welcoming feeling.
