The Store

This place is awesome! Technically, it's a wine store. But you're going for the delicious baked goods! Olive bread, huge muffins, various cookies and more. It's very niche, they have a cooler of beverages, a bakery case, chips/candy and bottles of wine. We like to grab a little sack of sweets on the weekend for something to eat with our coffee. They also have a lovely porch out front to stop and enjoy your goodies.

Great little store with amazing muffins and pastries!!! Their muffins are HUGE and so delicious! Best blueberry muffin I have ever tasted! Excellent service by staff; super friendly. Large selection of wines if you are into that. Nice little seating area/room to sit down and eat. Would recommend stopping at this unique, treat of a place!

Cute little store and bakery with attached restaurant. Restaurant/Cafe has delicious sandwiches. Our favorite part is the bakery however. Muffins are delicious and what a selection! A muffin easily serves two people. Very rich. Sometimes I will order and pre-pay for my favorites (3 minimum I believe) so I am assured they are available when I come in. Check online to see all the flavors! I don't think they have ever had fewer than a dozen different muffin types when I have been in there. Cookies are awesome too...better than homemade! A good variety of breads but you might want to check on the availability if there is something in particular you want.

This review is specifically for their: Muffins. The Store, is located right off the round-a-bout off the highway 20 Spur in Anacortes. After everyone ranting and raving about their muffins, I had to check it out. They have a good selection of wines, ciders, and beers; as well as other convenience items. I was told throughout the year, they do over 200 flavors of muffins seasonally. I got the Apple-raspberry, and it was amazing. Soft and cake-iee, with fresh apple chunks and raspberry. Don’t just get one, you’ll be disappointed. They have a muffin punch card for repeat visitors.

Very hard to decide on which delicious morsel to try from the bakery!! Finally went with the strawberry peach muffin and a carrot cake cookie for later. Also got an oat milk latte which was lovely and some garlic basil bread and artichoke dip for dinner. My friend got an assortment of cookies and the recommended wine (it was actually good, which coming from me who really doesn’t like wine is saying something!). Staff was friendly and upbeat and the entire store had a cozy feel. Would love to return!

Okay...think about the best muffin you've ever had. Now, multiply it by two and add a quaint Anacortes storefront. Yep, you've pretty much got the perfect muffin. The Store - located literally a block off the main drag into downtown - is worth a quick side trip. Their muffin selection is off the charts, featuring flavor combinations rarely seen in the muffin-challenged PNW. Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake? Yes please. Several varieties of chocolate and/or fruit? Um, yeah. Not to mention, these babies are HUGE. I've never actually finished one in a single sitting. Usually I eat the tempting muffin top first, then save the rest for later. The Store also has an incredible selection of wine (perfect spot to stop for a couple of bottles before you hit the islands), and other convenience store items plus a cute cafe in the back. They have coffee and espresso, and plenty of indoor seating if you want to enjoy your muffin on-the-spot (and avoid getting crumbs all over your car, don't ask me how I know). Oh, and did I mention the folks who work there are super friendly too? Win win!
