Based on one visit, while we were in Buffalo for Niagara falls visit with family.
From what I heard, they recently moved across the street from their former location. Their current location is also in a big plaza with plenty of parking.
Overall, the food was very good, with authentic flavors according to my Indian friend. Malai Kofta was rich and satisfying, and the two vegetable dishes we tried -- baingain bhartha (mashed eggplants) and a Dal Tadka -- were both excellent. Garlic naan and Tawa Roti were also good. The food came with raita and rice and onions/green peppers, which was a nice touch as well...
Service is brisk, no-nonsense but sensitive when it counts. The table next to us had an issue with a dish and the restaurant staff was very responsive in dealing with the issue, which was nice to see...

Have been here a bunch of times. All food are delicious. Try anything. They are the most authentic Indian restaurant in buffalo. Obviously will go back again and again.
This was the first place I ever tried Indian food and I've remained a loyal customer, bringing my wife & family in whenever possible. The place is very consistent, from the service to the quality of the food - I love it. I always get the Mater Paneer with sampler of appetizers. Have an open mind and try some Indian, you'll be happy you did!
I had been to Taste of India when I was in Buffalo. IT was an awesome experience and it was awesome to eat nice hot naans and reminded me of Punjabi food of my home. I still miss this place when I returned back to India. The people were highly cooperative and friendly. I had paneer butter masala, naans, curry and Pulav. Even though I was a vegetarian and this was probably the place to be when in buffalo. It was a buffet dinner. I don't think that you can better Punjabi food than taste of India in Buffalo. If you want to have Punjabi food, taste of India is the place to be. The people including the manager was so kind that he promised to make Aloo paratha in the morning at 6am. I realished on those parathas on my way to New York.

With so many varieties of restaurants in the area we wanted something different to appeal to the senses and we found it at Taste of India.
This was the first time I ever tried Indian and did not know what to expect. I have heard about some of their notable dishes, but it is always best to formulate one's own opinion.
As an appetizer I selected the Alu Mater Samosa (see my low lighting photo) that came with three different dipping sauces in which I found all to be very appealing. Really good for anyone new to Indian like myself.

they have a very extensive menu with explains the dishes very nicely. There is something for everyone here though I do not know if they have anything 100% vegen friendly. You have a choice of beef, chicken, lamb, seafood and vegetarian. My selection was Chicken Vindaloo (see photo) as I heard a lot about this dish. My wife went with the Vegetarian Vindaloo and both we selected a spice level of medium. Balsamic rice is served with the specials. In addition, we also ordered the Onion Kulcha bread (see photo), which is remarkable good.
The medium spice to the specials were just right as it both spicy enough and has a great taste. It has some kick and for those sensitive to spicy foods the mild should be good and I think they should be able to make the tomato sauce without any spice to it at all. There was another small dish (chickpea?) of something that was provided and I do not know what it was, but it was had an impressive taste to it as well. The Vegetarian Vindaloo was described as a very excellent choice because the vegetables had a flavor all their own on eat bite. Needless to say, the entire eating experience met and exceeded my expectations.
Wait, there is more. We saved room for desert and selected the Kheer rice pudding treat. What a way to end a delicious meal!
As for the rest of the dining experience, we enjoyed the ambiance the restaurant had. The lighting was nice where it was bright enough and the music was at a very enjoyable level. The tables were clean and most importantly, the service you cannot beat in which I found to be very friendly and informative about the food.
I cannot express how delighted we were with Taste of India. There was plenty to admire and the next question I pose is 'what do we get the next time we return?'.
Best Indian in buffalo! I've loved it for years. The samosas are tasty and the side sauces rock! I also really like the vindaloo, naan, and butter chicken. The saag paneer is exceptional.
Fantastic Food and Service-Vegetarian/Vegan friendly. I have regularly gone to Taste of India for the past 6 years, roughly twice a week. The Chicken Biryani is great as are the alu mater samosas, chicken makhani, dal, chana masala, and onion bhaji. The food is great as are the employees. Mantu, one of the employees, has paid extra special attention to us for years knowing that we ask for hot sauce, making specific vegan dishes for my husband, bringing me warm tea and naan, and just being a nice guy. The other servers know our faces as well and treat us so well. The weekend buffets and tuesday night buffet are great ways to sample their cuisine but ordering from the menu is also a good time.
Best Indian in buffalo hands down. Pantry makni. Prthaps best veg dish I have ever had.
Taste of India has such great food! The butter chicken was out of this world. Great food, great service, and overall great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Variety!. Originally, I did not have very high hopes for Buffalo when it came to Indian Food. I have had some very good experiences in the past and moving to a new city made me skeptical of what could really be offered.
My family and I mistakenly came across Taste of India on a search for an appropriate place to eat for a birthday dinner. There are many palates to please in my family; including vegetarian.
Upon initial review of the menu, the range of which was far beyond anything I was expecting, and far beyond anything I have seen before. The service was about par. Nothing worth commenting on. The food on the other hand is worth writing a thesis on. Absolutely fantastic! I had the Taste of India Special, which will present you with a broad variety of meats and cooking styles. The rice was fantastic and tasty. The Puri was not overly greasy, like many places are. The only negative I can come up with about "Taste of India" is I asked them explicitly to have them make my curry "HOT, as hot as they like it, and then some." I couldn't tell the difference between mild and spicy. I know there's a Caucasian spice scale, but when someone wants to sweat; PLEASE make me sweat. All in all, 3.75 stars.
I don't usually like Indian food (despite being that ethnicity myself :P ) but this place changed my mind! I loved the paneer pakora, like slightly spicy mozzarella sticks. The prices were excellent, the place was clean, and the ambience very nice!
Food is worth every cent, every time. Consistently delicious this is the place to go for Indian food that is good to the last morsel.
Took a friend of mine here for his first experience with Indian food because I knew I could rely on this restaurant to perform. My guy loved the experience, ambience and of course the food!
The staff was awesome, gave us huge portions of naan and at one point allowed us to have a pitcher of water (we ordered medium/hot 🥵) the flavor and service are unbeatable.
The 15$ Dinner portions are worth every cent. I had two full meals from the serving and my buddy was able to enjoy his again later that night for dinner. I was so happy to take him to such a treat.
Exceptional food and service. The food was palatable for our kids who are the most picky, they ate everything we ordered. It was a surprise to us as we forgot to request mild food. The owner was very friendly and made sure that he attends to all our requests. Will visit again, highly recommended!!
The Restaurant looks decent. I was there on a weekday for dinner. It's not busy at that time. It looks hygienic and well maintained at this pandemic. The food is okay. 🤗 I tried poor, paneer tikka masala. I asked for spicy paneer tikka masala, but it was not. I know paneer and ingredients which are used are mostly sweet like heavy cream, sugar, or raisins. And I tried Goat biryani, it's not Hyderabad style. The waiter said upfront it won't be Hyderabad style. But I want to give it a try so I ordered that. But it was beyond my expectations the goat is so tender and the biryani so tasty, it's not Hyderabad style so they didn't use much spice as regular biryani. Great work Mr.Chef and the guy at the front desk is so helpful and well mannered. Thanks
Food is always amazing and for a good price. Only one time have I ever had an issue and they were quick to solve it and I can’t express how amazing it is. Will definitely be around for more and telling others about it
