Just left the Ames location a few minutes ago and couldn’t get this review done quickly enough! Hands down the best Firehouse Subs location I’ve ever been to. Immediately greeted by two very friendly crew members and our food order was fast, fresh, and accurate. Can’t wait to come back. Awesome team!

I asked if I could have my sandwich toasted extra long. The manager was maybe offended? He asked why and I explained that when I’ve been to other Firehouse subs, that the middle is usually cold still while the edges are warm. He said “well, our streamers work just fine”. Well, my sandwich overall was cold, not warm. We spent $60.00 this included a 20% tip.

First time trying on recommendation and the sandwich was just ok. Too much bread for the amount of meat. I got the Italian and only one slice of each different type. Flavor was fine, just was expecting more filling. Friendly staff.

The food was really good and fresh. The location was clean and the staff was really friendly. It did take a while to get our food once our order was taken and it wasn't very busy but the wait was worth the food.

Firehouse Subs lived up to my expections, having heard from many people how good the sandwiches are. Firehouse did not disappoint me as the sandwich was outstanding with good service.

I revisited Firehouse Subs today, second visit since it opened, at 4 pm on Wed it was empty. I ordered a medium Meatball sandwich with Pepperoni on top, and a pickle. Sandwiches come in small, medium, and large, it was very tasty, and overall very good visit. It probably took 5-6 mins for it to get done, as it went through the oven twice. Pickle was good too, all told came in at $6.50 I think. The only issue I had was some of the meatballs appeared to be burnt as they will appear black in the pictures. Store was very visually appealing, clean and colorful, couldnt check the bathrooms as they were occupied. No free wifi, no bike racks, delivery is through "my town to go", plenty of parking front and back, not sure about the drive through...

We had a great experience. Friendly and welcoming staff and quick service. My son got the Italian and loved it. I enjoyed the turkey bacon ranch. Very reasonably priced, we ordered two medium sized sandwiches, two drinks and two bags of chips for $20. They also have a drive thru.

Stopped by at 1pm for a sandwich, 30 minutes later I was leaving with one. Did not seem that busy, three people working. I’m not sure what has changed but very little meat on the sandwich.
