The Pizza Box

It’s all about the crust for me, and Pizza Box has the best crust in the Ambler/Blue Bell/Conshohocken area. It’s perfectly thin and crispy. I’ve learned to eat it right in the shop for that perfect non-saggy crispness. Another secret—the reheated individual slices taste better than a fresh pie. It doesn’t seem to make sense, but it’s true—reheating in their pizza oven gives it an extra crispness that I can’t get enough of. Yum!

Store hours said open at 10 am on the door. Went in at 10:20 and the guy making pizzas said they weren't open but the front door was unlocked. He was also rude about it and was shaking his head at me as I was leaving, like I was some kind of a nuisance. I went right across the street and ate at Julia's on the Go. As I sat there and ate my sandwich I watched him turn down more people that went in 10-15 minutes after me. Not a good way to run a business. If you can't be ready in time I wouldn't advertise open at 10 am. Definitely will not try to go there again.

I wanted to like this place since majority of pizza places named pizza box are excellent. Well this wasn’t the case Paper thin pizza, black speckles in ice, when you speak with management they are rude that your not willing to settle for these poor standards. Clean the ice machine and make pizza that’s not on a budget. That will generate more customers.

Great pizza. Crusty and chewy. Used to go to Glenside location but this one is closer. Always delicious and interesting pizza options. One disappointment: We tried a cheesesteak and hoagie but they were anemic at best. Hoagie was mostly lettuce with a little ham and cheese. No evidence of salami, mortadella, etc. There are a lot of other options in the area for great sandwiches.
