A casual and inviting restaurant in the heart of Ambler - in the old train station. Good parking available. Lots of outdoor seating under cover. Definitely make reservations (especially in cold months). BYOB. So the food was very good we tried 5 entrees and everyone would order again. Delicious. This will quickly become your go to place.

This place is really cute. It is built out of a vintage train car and has a really nice intimate feel. I took my girlfriend there on a really cold night (16 F) and we opted to sit in a nook by the window. This was a mistake, because the insulation wasn't enough to keep the chill at bay. Unfortunately, by the time we realized it, there were no more available tables. he restaurant is small so it fills up quickly.
The food, on the other hand was nice. The waitress was really knowledgeable about the kitchen and gave me a whole list of items that could be made vegetarian on request. As an appetizer, I had the fried goat cheese salad, but when I put my fork through it, there was only one small piece of goat cheese surrounded by way too much mixed greens. For the hefty price of that app, there should have been more.
For my entree, I got the mushroom ravioli and was pleased at how delicious it was. The pesto was rich and well seasoned and you could tell the ingredients were good quality.
We ate the apple turnover for dessert and it was okay. It went well with ice cream.
By the end, we were satisfied with the food, but just wanted to go home to escape the cold. All in all a nice dinner, but i'm in no hurry to return until the weather warms considerably.

The menu is limited but the food tasted really good. It is BYOB so go ahead and have fun. One thing to consider is that the restaurant is really small in size and the distance between tables is very small. You can easily hear someone else conversions without even trying to do it intentionally. This place is good for quick meetings. If you planning to use laptop or even a netbook, tables are not big enough for it.

Trax Restaurant is a cool place to eat, its a old train station that has a large variety of American dishes. Family friendly. But is a BYOB place. Its close to home and the atmosphere is terrific

We reserved a table for 6 at an early hour so that we could make a show in Ambler. We were seated on time, Karen our server paid a lot of attention to us, we were out with 10 minutes to spare.
The food was great. Asparagus/prosciutto starter had flavors that zoom around and make you smile.
Traxxas is always a treat.

We waited 45 minutes WITH reservations. We waited on their "porch" on a May evening that had no heaters.
Very very loud. Steak was under cooked, lasagna was served in pool of sauce rather than with sauce

Had our anniversary dinner here and it was wonderful. Food was really good and the dining area was cozy and quaint. Service was great too.

Rather small intimate place. From many accounts, it's a local favorite. It's right next to the train tracks though, so it could get loud while dining outside in the summer.
