Pie And Plate Cafe

I have to echo the good opinions of others who have reviewed Pie and Plate. Light lunch fare, quiche, salads, sandwiches and the like. The pie is fabulous. My friend and I each chose different salads, which were fresh and tasty, with dressing served on the side. We ordered two slices of pie and split them, and had delicious coffee. I love the small town atmosphere here.

I must say this is one of my favorite places to eat in ambler! The owners are freaking awesome people and the employees are friendly with great customer service. The food is the best part of this tiny restaurant. If you!re looking for everything made fresh and from scratch this is your place. It also has some awesome pies. The dark cherry crumb pie I got for Thanksgiving was to die for. If you ate checking out Pie and Plate I would recommend the Pot Pie, it's so good. I would really recommend coming to this place if you want to feel like you never left home then definitely check Pie and Plate out!

Delicious. The apple pie slice is THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I was expecting only apple flavored cream within the pie but was pleasantly surprised with actual apple slices. There was sooooo much. Love it! Will be back to get a whole apple pie. Their limited purple potato soup was like none other. Glad I got to try it! Street parking. The owners are a cute couple.

Very down to earth place. Ordering was easy and we sat ourselves. Very comfy chair options. All food is named after the streets in ambler. I got the north st, crossaint, egg, bacon, provolone, and some kind of sauce. It comes with fruit. And of course I had to get some pie. I got the Dutch cranberry apple. My friend got the key lime. Breakfast was nothing to scream about but it was hot. The bacon is turkey and if you're like me (pork is the best) you're skeptical about the taste. But it was good. The sauce is a little tangy. Fruit wasn't all ripe. And then there's the pie. Presentation is not everything. The Dutch cranberry apple was custardy and the bottom crust was the type that you don't cook all the way. A little strange and I didn't finish it. The key lime was way too tangy. I have pics of him trying to get past the tang but for his sake I won't share them. Overall, 9 bucks for the sandwich seems really pricey. The slice of pie is anywhere between 5 and 6. I can get a tastier option for 9 bucks at dunkin with a donut and coffee (who cares if it's not as fresh)

I see a lot of potential, with several different pie options and a cute corner space. I do wish the lady at the counter took a bit more time with us: she didn't even offer to heat up our pie, and despite our order put it in a to-go container (I had to insist a few times that we were dining in; it wasn't even close to closing!). The cold cherry pie we ate was good; I could see how, when warmed up, it might be delicious.
