Abyss Coffee

Today was the first time being at Abyss Coffee. From its entrance, I liked its interior, vibe, and music. It was very interesting to see nice paintings. The paintings make Abyss Coffee more cozy and nice. I liked it so much. I had a cup of Americano. The taste of the coffee was good, but I expected more because of the first impression. I wish I could give 4.5 Stars. By the way, staffs are kind.

Excellent local coffee shop right on the corner with a drive thru. Also serves bfast and light lunch (grill cheese, wraps, salads and smoothies and soup - in addition to their coffee) Really good grill cheese and ham. Chicken noodle soup was also good with lots of noodles and chicken. Great for a rainy afternoon. Also ,they have Wi-fi to feed your phone. Lot is a little small but the drive thru helps a bunch. Sorry, I forgot photo of my coffee cause I drank it all!! Definitely will be back!!

As this coffee shop is 3 minutes from my house and a local business, I try to support as often as I can. However for the every time I visit, my order has been wrong without fail. I have lost patience giving multiple chances as this seems to be the norm with Abyss. Somehow making 2 basic bagel sandwiches takes 30 minutes and there is always something missing or I have the complete wrong order. Although the customer service is good in rectifying the issue, this shouldn't be the case every time I want breakfast from here.

I normally don’t write reviews but it gets frustrating after awhile. I often come here as the atmosphere is beautiful and food/coffee is amazing but i highly suggest calling first as they almost never stick to their hours posted. There have been numerous times when I’ve come to get coffee and they’ve closed before their 6pm said closing time.

Wonderful place but the reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is the wait time to get just a egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast which took over a half hour from the ime ordered. The coffees I had gotten earlier were already lukewarm. No apologies from the staff for the extreme wait. When I asked why such a long wait they told me that they were backed up with the drive-thru. The systems needs much improvement. Maybe make the inside customers be a priority and if not a priority then at least a balance between the two. This is clearly not happening.

We happened to be grabbing some things in the area and were craving a morning coffee. Checked what was around and saw Abyss Coffee. The lot was pretty full so we opted for the drive thru. They've got quite a bit on the menu so it took a minute. I'm always up for trying something new and was having a hard time choose between the Butter Rum latte and the Eurolatte. Went with the medium Butter Rum (toffee nut, macadamia nut, and caramel) and my wife had a large cold brew. Both were really good, the Butter Rum was an interesting mix, a bit sweet, with the toffee and macadamia being most forward.

My favorite coffee shop in Ambler, not a chain, very nice staff. The "Red Eye" is my regular concoction but they have lots of other coffee and non coffee beverages. And a full breakfast menu, And sandwiches, And pastries. Think of it as the best Starbucks you have visited with more menu and lower prices.
