Cask & Cork

Our experience here was good. Food and drinks are a little on the higher side. The establishment was beautiful and the staff were amazing. At no point did we have to flag anyone down for service. Our drinks were always filled. We went here as an anniversary dinner. My husband ordered the bison and I had the ribeye. We ordered nachos as the appetizer. Would definitely not recommended if you are not hungry. The serving size was plenty more than we could eat. The first time it came out the cheese was cold and I mentioned it to my husband. The server overheard us and assured us it was not supposed to be. She called the manager over and they had a new one brought out. We were not expecting that level of service. (They were definitely better warm.) Our food came and was delicious. (Best ribeye in Amarillo hands down.) We ordered a few recommended drinks from our server and left in good spirits. 😄 Overall, this was a great experience.

Being that we were in Amarillo, we didn't venture far out from ordering only meat. We had a great waiter named Eddie who helped us with everything. He even brought us a taste of port wine with dessert. Highly recommend if your travels bring you out that way. Pictures feature the Braised Short Rib and Bison Steak.

This is the best restaurant that I've tried in the two years I've lived in Amarillo, & one of the better restaurants I've ever been to. I've probably tried 7-8 items on their menu, and every time the food is incredible and always fresh. Their humus IS the best I've had anywhere. Do yourself a favor and get that. You won't be disappointed. I can't say enough good things about Cask & Cork. I hope they always maintain their high food quality standards because they're as good as it gets, in my opinion.

All in all I would give this place 5 stars. The atmosphere is great with lots decor featuring wine and wooden wine barrels including a pretty cool entrance. Here is the context of our dinner. A large group of family gathered in Amarillo to celebrate the life of my deceased aunt. There were cousins, aunts, uncles etc. my sister picked the place and my other sister made the reservation-a bit at the last minute because of all the other things she was doing/helping with. Because planning a funeral is really hard. So she said, “I made the reservation for 14 people because 14 is a big number.” And in typical family fashion people kept inviting other people to the dinner stating, “we have reservations.” I believe about 30 people showed up. 😬 Cask and cork was a bit under staffed for our extra large group but they did a great job of rolling with us and our crazy. They set up another set of tables next to the one they had already set up, they took orders and just went with it. We were the first to arrive and thankfully ordered a burger for our 3 year old before we ordered our food. Cause you know, hungry and tired toddler. I ordered the blackberry ham and goat pizza. It was amazing and I would highly recommend it. My mother in law ordered the portobello fries. My husband ordered a burger and sweet potato fries. He didn’t get his food until we were leaving. Honestly I think they gave his food to another family member but we didn’t pay for it and we got a burger and fries (not sweet potato fries) as we were leaving . And honestly we couldn’t be that upset because of the gross underestimation of people that we made the reservation for. The rooftop patio was really cool and there is an elevator for wheelchair users or for people who struggle to climb stairs. The food was excellent and the menu was modern and creative without being pretentious. This is not a super kid friendly venu. We had 4 kids under 8 and they got pretty board but honestly we chose the restaurant for the food and rooftop patio. Part of the patio was covered and part was not. It was really neat and A+ for effort, rolling with the punches, and giving our family space to talk and catch up during a difficult time.
