Cracker Barrel

This is the very first time that I have written a review- good or bad. I probably should take the time to sing the praises, but extra time is very limited. That is why I have ordered many Holiday Meals from Cracker Barrel. I have been more than happy and would sing praises to family, friends and co-workers. This year I am extremely disconcerted and actually quite angry. There will be no boosting to the masses this year! When ordering I noticed that no dessert was included. I could handle that and work around it, so I purchased a pecan pie from Cracker Barrel when I was picking up my meal. I was still happy and rushed to finish up the rest of my Holiday To-Do List. When unpacking my meal at home, I noticed the portions of the sizes with this Easter Meal was disappointing because the bread loaf size containers were not even filled to the top. One can even see the bottom of the pan in the hash brown casserole. The meal I purchased is to feed four to six people, I'm not sure if the portion sizes would even feed three. So, all that being said, one more thing because I"m feeling petty, all the other meals that I have purchased has had a small gift. No dessert added, no free holiday related gift, and small portion sizes, I will not be having Cracker Barrel preparing my Holiday Meals again.

Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the employees, the ambiance! The little store is filled with something for everyone!!! For young and old alike. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. For me and my fiance it cost $30 food and we left a 8.00 tip so 2 for under $40 wasn't bad for a Sunday Dinner. I included our pictures and a few iteems of childrens toys we are interested in getting our granddaughter and some art on the walls. It does no justice lol. You have to go and see everything they have From A to Z!!!!

It took us 47 minutes to get our food after waiting 40 minutes for a table even though we were added to the wait list online. Then when we got our food my daughters hamburger was cold and her cheese was perfectly firm, as in not even remotely melted. My other daughter didn't even get what she ordered. When we told the expediter who delivered the food that it was wrong he shrugged his shoulders and said he just runs the food. When the server stopped by and saw me scraping gravy off of the chicken she simply asked didn't she want gravy?? No... she didn't want this dinner. She ordered fried chicken tenders and got chicken fried chicken with country gravy. The gravy was thick and cold. 🤮 She didn't make it right. She didn't even take it off of the check. She just told me that I did get charged for the least expensive meal. We asked for boxes and left. We were in town for a dance competition and needed to return. I felt waiting almost 2 hrs for a seat and food should be more than enough time for them to get it right. Apparently not.

My all time favorite place to go to, I got for the chicken and dumplings. I never had an issue with my food, and I go quite often, love the gift shop, It can be pricey, but its worth it, you always have to wait for a table there because it is always busy but the food is home-cooked and definitely worth the wait. The best part is there Pecan pie in the fall, and they give you free dessert for your birthday and staff will come out and sing to you, and the best place to sit is in front of the fireplace. My dad loves the maple bacon grilled chicken the most, and recommend the cocoa cola cake if you have room for dessert.

The waitress was a little out there. Then she brings the food out with a big hair on the one plate then she took the food back and got us more and she would keep for getting things she gave us one napkin and when we ordered a dozen of biscuit she give us 3 jelly's and 5 butters it got to the point where I would have to get up and walk to where they where hanging out at and ask for stuff.. the food after the came back out was real good

We went for Mothers Day. We waited for an hour for a table we knew there would be a wait. We finally was called and was seated they took our orders and no one got anything crazy . It took almost 90 minutes to get our food. 90 minutes!! How is this possible? My granddaughter got a side order of Mac and cheese and she got a weird look on her face I asked her what was wrong she said, it taste funny. I tried it as well as my cousin who was with us and we both thought the same thing. It was very running like soup and tasted almost gritty. I am not in a hurry to go back.
