I have git take out from here. This wS the first time dining in. The food was excellent and plentiful. Before the meal, we had summer rolls, spring bowl, and a bowl of soup.
I got the green curry with extra veggies. It came in a large bowl with a side of white rice. I even took some home. My husband got the grouper, and it came in pieces that were lightly batter in a tempura like batter and veggies. He got to choose his sauce, and he got sweet chili. Our other two guests got the pad thai with chicken. They loved it. They give you way more food when you dine in as opposed to take out. Hummmm.
Our server, Alejandra, was fabulous and patient with all our questions. She explained everything very clearly and pleasant. She and the other server worked very well together, taking care of the tables. I can wait to go back and try everything on the menu.
Dessert: a must have is the fried banana and coconut ice cream.
The restaurant is located in a nondescript strip mall and the storefront is unassuming. But the only thing better than the delicious food is the helpful and friendly staff. We went for lunch on a Tuesday. I had the Pad Thai lunch special and asked for "Thai Hot" spice level. It came with a spring roll, chicken rice soup and a salad with a ginger dressing. It was perfect. The spring roll was super crispy. The salad dressing was the perfect balance of sweet, vinegar and ginger flavors. We also got an appetizer of chicken wings. Super delicious and crispy, piping hot too 🔥. I chose veggies and tofu to go with my Pad Thai. The noodles were cooked perfectly and it came with scallions, onions, carrots, broccoli, and zucchini. I like spicy foods and the "Thai Hot" was perfect for me. Plenty of heat without overwhelming the flavors in the rest of the entree. My wife had the green curry with chicken pork and beef. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I also got a Tom Yam soup that was so delicious, I ordered one to take home. I also tried a Chang beer. It was crisp but not light. Nothing I'd drink on game day, but worth trying. Our waitresses were friendly and helpful, and made great suggestions. So far our favorite Thai spot in central Florida.
Always a great experience at Pilin Thai! Tom Kha Soup was amazing, as always, and the Thai Tea is the best in town! You should check ‘em out 👍👍
For over 10 years this has been a favorite! I have tried to find Phad Thai that tastes as good as theirs and unfortunately have yet to find such!! Not just local , when I travel I try to find Thai restaurants and compare. Pilin is still on top!! Friendly, accommodating, relaxing atmosphere!
This has been my favorite place for Thai food for years. I’ve traveled to Thailand and it’s very comparable. The staff is very friendly and the quality of the cuisine has been consistent over over the years. The Pad Thai is my go-to. On this visit, I had the Pad Thai Tofu and my son had the Panang Curry Chicken. Both were spiced medium. I have often gotten it hot and Thai hot which I enjoyed without it being too hot.
Saw more positive than negative reviews so I decided to give it a shot. Place was full which is always a good sign. Got a table immediately. Waitress was there within seconds. Ordered a Thai beer which was very refreshing. Appetizers arrived maybe less than ten minutes after ordering. The crab ragoon was probably one of the best we’ve had. Very crispy and the cheese was very creamy. The Summer Rolls were tasty but pretty much standard. The Phad Thai was surprisingly good. Ordered it medium heat for the sake of my wife but even that was too much for her. She had Pineapple rice with chicken, cashews, broccoli, carrots and pineapple that had great curry flavor. Overall my tummy thanked us and we’ll definitely be back.
I ordered Panang curry with Chicken the extra $1 for chicken that they charge is a first for me. The total for the dish was $16ish with tax. The flavor was OK but could use some more spice/seasoning it was almost bland compared to the Panang Curry I’m used to eating at my favorite spot in Tampa. There was also not much chicken in the container even though I paid extra for it. Service was nice but I wont be returning.
Spring rolls were good. Unfortunately they weren't very warm, and there were only 2. The Pad Thai was really good, one of the better Pad Thai dishes I have had. Portion was rather small compared to other Thai places, but personally I don't mind since it was just enough as an entree. Will definitely come back here when in the area again.
We popped in for a quick bite and were pleasantly surprised with Pilin Thai Restaurant. The food is delicious! I had guay tiew which is not on the menu but they happily accommodated my request.. Thai tea was perfect! We will be back often!
I had the peanut chicken dish and it was excellent. I also shared the mango sticky rice dish which was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant if you like Thai food. The service is great too!
