Last night was our first time dining here and it was certainly worth the drive up from Los Angeles. I love how it’s in a very quiet neighborhood with a ton of parking, and for the fact that it is small and intimate but not too small. It was busy on a Saturday evening but that just shows how many other diners also book reservations as well. Our server was very polite and the dishes came out promptly. We started off with the Bacon Wrapped Dates which are a personal favorite of mine so I loved these. Next we followed up with a Buffalo Sauced Brussels Sprouts and being that I don’t usually put buffalo sauce on them it was a nice flavor change. They were perfectly crispy and went quickly. For my entrée I chose the Rack of Lamb which was a bit small in portion, being that it was just 3 pieces, but the flavors were very nice. For dessert we chose the Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding and it was a hit for the table I loved it. These are certainly not share size portions so I would be aware of that when booking or sitting down.

Just had an amazing meal at this place. Friendly staff and inviting ambience. We eat meat on rare occasions and decided to make this one of those special occasions. The rack of lamb was the best I have ever experienced. Crusted and pan seared, the flavor and texture was layered with a subtle hint of smoke. The beef Wellington was perfectly prepared rare and tender with all the components this rich decadent dish perfectly balanced. A party in your mouth if ever there was one!!! Then the apple pie in puff pastry and salted caramel and cream anglaise. Again the perfect balance that just left us wanting more! Have been meaning to try this hidden gem for years and I’m annoyed with myself for waiting this long. We will be back soon to make up for lost time! Thank you Altaeats for a memorable meal!

A wolf in sheep's clothing, don't be fooled by the unadorned facade of AltaEats. The preparations from start to finish on the abbreviated but uniformly excellent menu delighted at all levels. Greeted by the savory fragrances filling the unassuming space upon arrival, we started with the olive medley. Well seasoned with a signature hint of cinnamon or cardamom, they didn't last long. Though a difficult decision, we selected the Wellington, scallops, and duck. All amazed, the au poivre crusted Wellington hugged the buttery filet. The duck perched atop cherry balsamic bliss. The scallops tucked, lightly dressed in a caramelized citrus shell. We didn't pass up the opportunity to clean the remnant sauces from the plates with the homemade bread, notwithstanding the caramel butter. The finish was the icing on the cake, with the chocolate pot au creme and apple tart. We couldn't decide, so we enjoyed both! You will too, when you walk through the unmarked door. In closing, I would be remiss if I failed to laud the excellent wait staff. Truly a neighborhood gem, this one is.

Delicious porkchop with garlic mash potatoes and broccolini. Our server Paul was kind and charming. A great hidden spot for date night or a fancy meal!

I have been to this restaurant twice and loved it both times! Last time I went was on Valentine's day...we had a reservation. They were running a little behind but opened up Altabeverages for those waiting for a table and kept pouring us free champagne and fed us cookies! We weren't waiting that long but it was a nice way to pass the time. At the restaurant there was a nice tasting menu with everything from a tasty amuse bouche to dessert. I would come back here any time

Fois Gras was delicious. Tomahawk steak was delicious. Mashed potatoes have a very mouth watering texture. Mystery wine was worth it. Pork was super juicy with flavorful chimichurri

This restaurant is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to this restaurant. when I feel like having a proper lunchon, this is the place that comes straight to my mind. extremely good and all kinds of food and a rich menu.trained crew, and pleasant atmosphere. And very important, the price is modest. I suggest this place with pleasure.
