Lovingly restored building steeped in history, the Ritchey Wine Salon is a refuge from classic downtown living. Across the tracks from the heart of Alpine, its Murphy Street location sets it apart in a more relaxed and artsy neighborhood. Their selection of wines is eye opening andpleasing to the taste buds. The bar tender is well versed in his trade, quick-witted and a joy to converse with (to say nothing of his vast knowledge of his libations - but not in a stuffy way). Worth the walk/drive across the tracks - and be sure to enjoy your drinks on the patio out back, or the salon upstairs.

Amazing. And our bartender, Laurel, was terrific! Definitely stop by for the incredible Wine and beer list but more importantly for the conversation and hospitality! Great atmosphere great bartender great patio. You won't regret it! But you will if you miss it! Thank you so much Laurel!

Absolutely incredible place to relax, drink, and enjoy the view! Beautiful and gorgeous historic building that shows its incredible roots catering to those looking to grab a great glass of wine and watch the sunset on the lower and upper wrap around decks!

It's the people, primarily. Those behind the bar and those customers you will meet. We have had a diverse and interesting series of conversations with local and formerly local residents - geology, archeology, original ranchers, musicians, the occasional golden retriever. Excellent wine and beer selections. First place I head to on our visits to Alpine.

We enjoyed wine and beer from this cute, rustic but trendy joint. The Mediterranean plate was huge and my husband and I enjoyed it as tapas. Great spot with good star gazing, sunset viewing, etc.

They have wine, beer, live music, beautiful outdoor seating, great staff, AND they allow dogs (on a leash, of course)!!! What more could you ask for? I'm always searching for places to socialize where I can also bring my furry best friend, and The Ritchey is perfect!
