Los Jalapenos Cafe

Not only was some of the food bad, the service was horrible! I've never had salsa that looked like mush. The waitress couldn't even tell us what was in it! I asked what a "fried" taco was and all I got was "the shell is crispy". Ok. I ordered the 4 "fried beef tacos". What a mistake. Another first, it was a hamburger patty cut in half with a half on each. No type of seasoning what so ever. The "crispy" shell was the type of shell use in taco salad. That wasn't too bad, but if I had wanted a hamburger I would have ordered one. I ate one taco just to give it a fair chance. They were small. When the waitress asked how it was, I said they did not taste good. Plus I didn't know it was a hamburger patty! She looked at me like I was stupid and said "yeah". Why not the ground beef that was in my husband's enchilada's?????? I asked it to be taken off the bill. She said ok. When we went to pay....after flagging her down.(She was busy with the other table in use), she charged for the tacos. I said, those tacos were supposed to be taken off. Waitress " I asked and she said I had to charge you for them" Me, "they tasted awful" Waitress " You have to pay anyway". Wow!!! Bad service, bad food and more importantly, bad ethics!!!!!

Los Jalapeños- My lunch here at Los Jalapeño was ok. I will not come back to eat here again, it was a waste of my time. The service here is terrible, and very slow. The waitress we had barely visited the table where we were eating. I had to go up, ask for a refill, and even then, my refill never came. I am pretty sure the waitress even forgot about us. I wasn’t impressed at all. The wait is sooo long, and the food is not even worth it. The prices are ok, I guess. Overall, I would say, try it to form your own opinion and I hope anybody else’s experience is better than mine. Give everybody the benefit of the doubt. I personally won’t recommend this restaurant.

I wanted to like this place, but the food wasn't very well seasoned, the restaurant itself was very cold, we had people huddling behind our table in front of the one heater they had. We did come in an hour before closing time so I'm not deducting points for the time it took to be served, we only saw one waitress and I wouldn't be surprised if she was doing a lot of the cooking in the back. We didn't get some items that we asked for-our appetizers, extra tortillas, and never got refills, but we didn't cause a stink because the waitress appeared to be working hard. Also it would be beneficial to add a sign for guests to seat themselves, we saw a handful of people come in and leave when they weren't seated (probably a good thing considering the hour though.) Someone in my party found a very long hair embedded in their food, but we didn't bring it up to the waitress as again, late hour and she was super busy. Overall, the food wasn't awful but our particular experience was. I hope they get more staff to help out.

When we stepped in it looked clean and really nice. They took a long time to take our order and an even longer time to serve us our food. I ordered the chicken flauta plate. The chicken was dry and hard and the tortilla was greasy. There also was tomato, rice, avocado and beans on the plate. It had an ok flavor. I probably won't order the same thing next time.
