Dairy Queen

I went to the Allendale Dairy Queen on a Monday night. We walked in and it was PACKED. These teenagers blew through the line and got everyone their orders in a timely fashion. While waiting for my ice cream I saw how well all the kids worked together and how much fun they had together while working. It was refreshing to see people have fun while they work and enjoy what they were doing. Great experience!

PROS: This DQ is very clean compared to others and is also very large. Lots of room to sit, form a line at the counter, and the staff is also nice. Tons of parking and its within other shops so the location is good. CONS: They are very slow. The line was long because it looked like they didn't want to be there OVERALL: I'll come back here at some point but not if I'm in a rush

If possible I would give this location 0 stars. After supporting their business for years, the quality and staff are seriously lacking in service. The store is always out of ice-cream flavors and toppings so you are made to comprise on your dessert decision. On the topic of the staff, it is all young, not very well trained, teenagers and very few on shift at that. Not only can they not get the order right but a few have also given attitude towards customers with simple requests. Recently the store had also closed early for no apparent reason and the family member of a dairy queen worker was disrespecting young kids who were just trying to enjoy some DQ. Keep in mind that they closed an hour early and the store was anything but slow with customers. This is why the Allendale Dairy Queen deserves this rating.

I’ll start by saying it’s very clean. Aside from that service is slow and they do not listen. Reese’s pieces and Reese’s peanut butter cups are different items when asked to make a blizzard with Reese’s pieces it means pieces. My favorite part is they even confirmed you just want Reese’s pieces and yet it came with peanut butter cups which was too sweet and thrown out. If a customer asks for you to put the cone in the cup so you can drive it means put it in a cup so they can drive not two bases. Overall, its DQ so it’s good ice cream but don’t ask for anything more than basic or you won’t get it.
