Grub 'n' Brew In Da Zoo

Surprisingly Empty. We found ourselves in Allegan one Saturday afternoon while out geocaching and needed a quick bite as the natives were getting restless. Minnie's was the first place we saw, so we ducked in. It was surprisingly dead for noon on a Saturday in the downtown of a small town, but our food came promptly, service was good, and, although not the best I've ever eaten, my omelet and accouterments were really very good. I would imagine a place like this would be busier, so maybe we just caught them on a slow day, but we'll be back for sure.
Great hometown restaurant!. Overall a great hometome place. The deserts are fabulous, everthing else is very good, but nothing is really spectacular. Deffinitely somewhere to visit again.
Went here for breakfast. It’s very local which was nice. Standard menu with prices that will not break the hurt your wallet. The coffee was decent and the bacon thick and crispy and the eggs done my way. Overall, when I’m in the area, I’ll be back for breakfast. Bonus, major new improvements in the downtown neighborhood and the area is quite charming with many new shops to explore.
Had the fish and chips. Cod was a perfect golden brown, tender and flakey inside. Fries were crisp on the outside and tender inside. Cole slaw fresh and crispy. Iced tea was also delicious, not watered down like so many restaurants. Service was excellent. All that in a cool historic building with a friendly atmosphere.
Small town feel. Great food and great prices. The server was very friendly.
What a real treat likely the best breakfast I have had in a long time. Fluffy large pancakes with butter and syrup in a bottle not a thimble sized cup. The side of sausage was a nice addition. My wife's cornbeef hash with eggs and raisin toast was equally delicious. The prices were very very competitive with any restaurants I have encountered eaten in for quite a while. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.
Good food at affordable prices. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is decent, and the restaurant is always clean. The peanut butter pie is delicious!
I was in town for a craft show at the Alpaca Fest at the Fair Grounds. Found this place on Google and went mostly because they were open. I'm glad I did. The food and service were great. Even early in the morning the dining area was mostly full with regulars. I'm sure I will go again if I'm ever in the area.
Friendly staff but very busy. Good breakfast food but nothing that stood out. Love the outside of the building.
Come here for a cheap, quick, DELICIOUS meal! Everyone is so nice, it's cozy, and the food is EXQUISITE! I'll definitely be coming back here a few times :)
Great place to eat breakfast, very friendly and quick service.
Great service...had their yummy cranberry and walnut pancake!! It was fabulous! What a wonderful town...
